DONALD Trump has claimed Barack Obama had his wires tapped in Trump Tower during the US election.

You are either with us or against us. It is pretty simple. This is not the time to be clutching at one’s pearls.
Wow, those are powerful tweets. When a guy like trump mentions the leather briefcases it is over.
Which still isn't illegal per se. The government, specifically the president, is allowed to snoop without a warrant if the snoop is for foreign intelligence. See Aldrich Ames.
And even if the snoop is illegal, the remedy is a civil claim.
So, from a "in real legal jeopardy" point of view, the snoop probably doesn't end in liability to Obama.
In stark contrast, the political jeopardy against Obama and the DEMs is immense. I love it.
That’s why he tends to hold meetings in FL.
They have very little left in their bag of tricks.
—
You’re they have no solutions.
- Obamacare is a train wreck we all see happening before our eyes they have no solutions other than the democrat women where white as protest during the president’s address.
- They have no economic plan so they run up $10+ trillion over 8 years. We were basically riding on a $10+ trillion FAKE ECONOMY during the obama years. What is their plan? Let’s talk about transgender bathrooms.
Democrats don’t have anything in their bag of tricks other than to divide, create chaos and confusion, etc. They have nothing of good substance to offer the American people.
Adding to my previous, you will see this play out by the DEMs arguing for warrantless snooping, on the basis that anything not criminal is justified. Watch for the argument be framed (by the press) in terms of legality.
I knew his original post would bring it.
They should have asked Comey to resign.
That is all.
Your playing checkers or go fish wile they are fighting an Islamic, demonic administration of BO and VJ. The got the dems to go all in on Russia and now free to beat them to death on wire taps and interference in the election. I stand 100% behind thr AG. He is a good, honorable pit bull.
It's Trump's private residence that was wiretapped. Besides that, it isn't a campaign issue; it's an illegal wiretapping issue. Are the Obamaniacs going to contend that they did the tapping, and it's because they wanted to know what the campaign was up to?
Himmler was a pussy, actually...
Agreed. Sessions had better be ALL over this, or they will look like wimps.
I think the President dumped this on purpose today to get ahead of the MSM.
The question may be when did the wire tapping stop and start? Dates and times will matter a great deal.
I truly believe that Trump's tweets are a call to arms and a call for help.
The Attorney General is supposed to "independent" and the "chief law enforcement officer for the nation."
Were Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch "independent" Obama.
You and I both know the answer to that.
If Trump were found to trying to "influence" Sessions to act, Congress, the media, and the Democrats would crucify the President.
Now, it is up to Sessions. I am not hopeful, but I would love to be wrong.
I vote for Number 2.
I think he good and honorable. Whether or not he is a pit bull as Attorney General needs to be seen.
Before he joined the Trump campaign, all I knew of Sessions was that he was a solid conservative Senator who was on the right side of issues 99% of the time.
When he was nominated for Attorney General, and the left and media attacked him right and left as a 'racist' - I felt their attacks warranted respect for Sessions' abilities to bring justice to the most criminal gang of thieves, liars, murderers, rapists, child traffickers, and scum that Washington DC had ever seen.
So far, I haven't seen much, but to be fair Sessions has not been in office long. However, my entire approach to him shifted with last week's disastrous press conference.
He appeared confused, apologetic, shell shocked, lethargic, forgetful, weak, and castrated.
Rudy Guliani (in my opinion) would have cut the Democrats and the media down the gut with a dull knife and hung their sorry carcasses out to dry that day. But then again, Rudy also took down the leadership of the 5 Families of the Cosa Nostra.
I want Sessions to succeed. He is also a fellow believer in Jesus Christ. That counts for a lot. But it does not guarantee he will be successful in his current job. I attended a church awhile back where the head pastor had hired a very nice associate pastor. Both were, of course, saved and evangelical Christians.
The associate pastor did not support the actions of the head pastor (which time and events later confirmed that the head pastor was correct all along).
The associate pastor refused to do his job, and eventually, he had to be fired.
It is too late to replace Sessions if he turns out to be ineffectual. We would never get a new Attorney General through the nomination process for months, even if we could get a name to Capitol Hill.
If Sessions sits on his hands, the country, and Trump's entire Presidency, hangs in the balance.
Oh please!
I am with this President and the conservative cause. I have fought in 3 wars to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I stand for Judeo-Christian values and pray that the Almighty blesses and protects Donald Trump.
Doubting Jeff Sessions' veracity and ability to act as an effective Attorney General hardly makes me an enemy of the state.
Moreover, anyone who witnessed and honestly contemplated Sessions' weak and paltry performance last week (compiled with his slow start off the blocks as Attorney General) should be likewise concerned.
Anyway, I still have faith in Sessions and trust that Trump will remove him if he ends up not being up to par with expectations. Trump has never been shy about replacing people who don't get the job done.
Rudy Giuliani would have made a great AG - 10 years ago. He's only 72 - just a couple years more than Sessions or Trump, but he clearly has not aged well. On the campaign trail, Rudy often looked exhausted and out of sorts. Unfortunately he's now an old man and perhaps not up to the workload that is required of an AG. Otherwise I'm sure Trump would have slotted him into an important role in his Administration.
Not everybody ages the same way.
I agree Tom, but it should hit a nerve with all of us. For the last 8 years, the nation has been held hostage to the most criminal gang in American history. To make matters worse, Obama's "Shadow Government" is not even through with their criminality - they are expanding upon it and laughing in the faces of the American people.
If Sessions does not act, and swiftly, I think Trump's entire Presidency (and perhaps the nation) hangs in the balance.
Reminds me of the cacophony on FR when some were criticizing the election of Boehner as speaker. Ironcally, by the end of his first term, many of those voices has swung 180-degrees. Similar with GWBush.
We are all wrong around here sometimes. When Trump announced he may run, I was against it because I thought he could never win the primary! Mea Culpa! Boy, was I wrong. I love the guy. We have never had a warrior like him.
I think sometimes this place becomes a little too much like an Amen Corner that only wants rah rah cheers and happy news about our side.
I sense real danger unless Sessions gets it together, and fast.
I hope so Sam. I have read several replies that the entire "Sessions-had-contacts-with-the-Russian-Ambassador-Schumer-calls-for-him-to-resign" was Trump's secret plan all along.
That's a little hard for me to swallow, but we'll see.
Yes, Guliani's health may have been a factor. I also think he may just want to sit back and enjoy retirement. God knows he earned it.
