DONALD Trump has claimed Barack Obama had his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower during the US election.

I think after time for a tap expires they are required to tell the subject of the tap After a few months. If so this continued past the election.

Best case is if it were court approved is the info gathered was shared for political purposes.

There are two possibilities:

1. Trump is wrong, exaggerating, or lying

2. Obama is a traitor and a criminal

In either case, this is so serious that it requires an in-depth, far reaching, and immediate investigation.

Tell you what: if Sessions takes concrete action and informs Congress and the American people that the Justice Department is launching a criminal probe into whether or not Obama and his henchmen committed a crime against Trump and his family, and Sessions does so within the next critical 48 hours, I will say I was wrong, and dance in the streets.

If Sessions does not, then he is a do-nothing man who does not deserve to hold the position of Attorney General of the United States.

I think it's fair to expect that the Trump administration through the Attorney General take immediate action concerning these allegations.

At this point, I'll stand by my statement that if AG Sessions had not recused himself from the investigation into bogus claims, he would not be free to pursue real issues.

The attorney general said he recused himself on matters regarding the Russians and the Trump campaign (which was a big mistake). If he uses that excuse to recuse himself on this issue of criminal wiretapping, then that is even more damning for Jeff Sessions.

Reminds me of the cacophony on FR when some were criticizing the election of Boehner as speaker. Ironcally, by the end of his first term, many of those voices has swung 180-degrees.

Similar with GWBush. The bushbot defenders were almost radical in their defense. After GW left office, some of the things he said and did caused many of the faithful to jump ship.

It’s a big nothing burger and Sessions and Trump know that. The democrats want resistance so they can continue with their smear campaign. They really don’t want to get to the bottom of it because there is nothing.

Sessions isn’t a dummy and neither is Trump.

If he were tapped, too, then he would have to recuse himself. He was a part of the campaign, he has to recuse himself. Good luck finding someone who doesn’t need to recuse him or herself.

I believe the bad guys will lose this battle.
I believe they are already losing.
They are accomplishing one thing though.
That is to create as much chaos and confusion as possible.
