I believe that would now explain all the wardrum beating on Russia - they had to know that Trump was gonna find out, so they've been trying to throw up a smokescreen to pin some kind of stink on him instead and away from them. It makes sense now. Also why they've gone after Sessions the way they have, to either get him out or hamstring his capabilities of office.

If true, it is far more than interesting, it is shocking. I wonder what evidence - if any - Trump has. Did someone in government tell him this? Is there documentary proof? Or does he just think it happened because of circumstantial evidence? If he was given purported evidence, and the evidence was fake, was he being set up to look like a fool?
