Dozens of House Democrats have collectively paid $4 million since 2009 to Pakistani IT professionals now under criminal investigation who had access to House members' email and computer files.
Capitol Police is investigating whether five members of the Awan family from Pakistan engaged in criminal activity, including theft, as computer administrators for dozens of House Democrats, some of whom serve on the intelligence, homeland security, and foreign affairs committees.
Democratic members from multiple committees "were inexplicably paying" the suspects who "they rarely or never saw," the Daily Caller News Foundation reported Wednesday.
The suspectsbrothers Imran, Abid, and Jamal, and two of their wives, Hina Alvi and Natalia Sovahad full access to the lawmakers' email and computer files for whom they worked and are part of a criminal theft and cyber security investigation.
The House members who paid the most to the Awans included Democratic Reps. Marcia Fudge (Ohio), Tim Ryan (Ohio), Jim Acosta (Calif.), and former Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.).
Awan family members received outsized salaries in comparison to their colleagues working on Capitol Hill, raking in $5 million collectively since 2003. Imran Awan, for example, received $1.2 million in salary since 2010, while legislative assistants on Capitol Hill receive a median annual salary of $43,000.
Capitol Police is also looking into an off-site server that authorities did not know about but housed congressional data.
Brothers Iman and Abid Awan operated a Northern Virginia car dealership and reportedly received a $100,000 loan from a doctor and former Iraqi politician with ties to Hezbollah, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, and "spent significant time in Pakistan," according to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Some House Democrats reportedly fired the Awans after meeting with investigators. It is unclear how many lawmakers did so.
Who in their right mind would hire a Pakistani to mind their computers?
Democrats.
I’d say Democrats, but they’re not in their right minds.
This should be front page news on all the MSM today.
Nope.
All you’ll se is
SESSIONS SESSIONS SESSIONS
and
RUSSIANS RUSSIANS RUSSIANS
Charge them with malfeasance and treason.
Yep...there will be a constant stream of false flags until they can brush this under the rug!
They should all resign immediately.
RIGHT.
The headline is a little misleading, because it makes it sound like the Democrats paid them. But I think it was OUR money.
Hopefully there will be a YUGE investigation of all of this, and see who got kickbacks or favors in the deal.
No. WE paid or dem sucker contributors paid or Soros paid.
But Jeff Sessions having a cup of coffee with the Russian Ambassador is the REAL scandal. /s
This alone - if handled correctly by the DOJ - should keep the Democrats out of power for 20 years.
Glad this is coming out. During the Obama administration, they created a little known program called the H-1B visa program that fast tracked computer educated people, especially from the middle east. These people were sponsored by the federal government to get access to the US and computer jobs with major companies ahead of local citizens. To my knowledge, over 85,000 were brought in in 2016 alone.
That’s a lot of employment used up and with the unemployed US citizens falling off the end of the insurance and still not having a job, that could, on paper, erase an entire state’s employment problems showing increased jobs the public would think is within the US and not outsourced. Smoke and mirrors.

But.....but.....but...........RUSSIANS!
” Imran Awan, for example, received $1.2 million in salary since 2010, while legislative assistants on Capitol Hill receive a median annual salary of $43,000. “
One wonders how they could afford his salary ?
The H-1B Visa program has been around for decades, it's what tech companies use and abuse to hire foreign nationals at lower wages to replace American workers.
Did the House Dems pay for this from Campaign funds or from Taxpayer funds?
