Patrick Stewart has said he is applying for US citizenship in order to "fight" Donald Trump.
On The View, he said that because of the recent election he has decided to apply for citizenship in order to join the resistance against the President.
“I’m not a [U.S.] citizen,”the actor said.
“However, there is, maybe it’s the only good thing, as the result of this election: I am now applying for citizenship. Because I want to be an American too.”
“All of my friends in Washington said, ‘There is one thing you can do. Fight, fight, oppose, oppose,’” Mr Stewart said.
He made the comments after being asked about a tweet in which he wrote: "Had the worst sleep of my life last night. But I was sleeping less than 300 yds from where Donald Trump sleeps. Could there be a connection?"

When he was the brace captain on Star Trek I saw him once in a restaurant in Sherman Oaks. He was sobbing into a woman’s lap. Looked pretty wimpy. It also didn’t look like he just lost a loved one, more like he was crying over losing some part or something. Self absorbed.

Go back home Stewart, if after all this time getting rich off of Americans, and you haven’t wanted to become a citizen. We don’t want you.
He’ll have to become a naturalized citizen before he can participate in a presidential vote. That can take as long as 6 to 8 years.

The spoils of war are far too much material for him to adequately handle. It would go against his altruistic nature to continue to keep it, and being damaged, it would have to remain in his custody.

Frazier is my favorite show of all time. I loved his character on the show, but no he’s not gay. He is a huge liberal, but I can separate the art from the artist. I actually saw Stewart last night at a premier of Logan. Great movie. Ultra-violent.
Trying to migrate to a country for the purpose of sowing seeds of sedition should be cause to refuse his request.

Picard waffled frequently and always was concerned with if he was making the right decision or how humans would be perceived by alien species. A perfect example is how he handled the Borg in the episode, "I, Borg". He should have been drummed out of Star Fleet for failing to implant the virus in Hugh and decimate the Borg once and for all. Millions died because of his fine sensibilities ...thousands of humans at Wolf 359 alone.
