It’s pretty gross but very effective.
Recently, a HuffPo contributor found out that her background wasn’t 100% African American like she thought.
Turns out she is part white.
Cue the meltdown…
You see, her whole life, Chistine Michel Carter had been told that she was Black and Native American, so when she found out that her Native American heritage negligible, she was pretty confused. Further complicating matters was the fact that the DNA test also told her that she was 31.5% European, which Carter said made her feel “shame” and “disorient.”
“Of all the emotions which materialized from the results, the two strongest were disorient and shame. I thought the results would simply confirm what I was told by my family; instead they discredited their allegations,” she wrote.
Addressing her feelings of shame, Carter explains that she believes her family went out of their way to cover up their white roots out of embarrassment.

Actually most North American Black would probably be about 25% to 33% Caucasian.

Good point .. which is rarely brought up by those that take pride in the “first black _resident”. What is also rarely mentioned is that it was his black half that abandoned him as a toddler.

As I understand the DNA evidence, most “African Americans” are mixed race. If not for the laws and social taboos against miscegenation, there would be no way to differentiate where “African American” ends and “Caucasian American” begins. As it is, the distinction is fast coming to an end.
This is why the Democrats have transitioned back to their racist roots. The Democrats depend on dividing America for their vote base. They need to appeal to a lot of decent people on the basis of “identify” to get them to vote for the progressive socialist agenda. Once the focus shifts to values and economic opportunity, we will win our share of the voters identified as African American.
BTW the reason Afro-Cribbeans and recent immigrants from Africa do so well in the U.S. is because they don’t identify as their skin color. They can be proud to be Nigerian or Ivorian, Jamaican or Dominican, in the sense of their heritage,, as well as proud to be American.
My Mom did the DNA test and discovered she’s 5% Neanderthal. She thought it was hilarious more than anything.
The DNA tests are great because they teach all of us that these enthic constructs are BS. We are all mongrels. And that’s good.
