Recusing yourself from a matter that amounts to a big nothing burger is harmless. When this Russian hysteria settles down and absolutely nothing comes from it, Sessions will look bigly.
Pence is a close pal with Ryan and by extension Priebus.
Apparently Flynn just referenced their being able to talk about the issues he was bringing up after the inauguration. That’s arguably not “discussing” sanctions at all.
Pence was clearly a jerk about it—if he felt Flynn’s communication was incomplete, he could make sure that he wanted more detail in the future. Looking to have Flynn removed as he did was a clear shot at Trump.

1. Obama was going to declare martial law and cancel the 2016 election.
2. Then Hillary Clinton was going to use the Jill Stein recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania to steal the election from Trump.
3. Then a bunch of Trump electors in the Electoral College were going to change their vote to Hillary Clinton.
With all this going on, how did Jeff Sessions ever manage to become the U.S. Attorney General under President Barack Obama or President Hillary Clinton?
He's doing the right thing. And the matter was already laid to rest once. The Dems are making a**** of themselves. What's new!!
He only recused himself from campaign-related cases. This doesn’t get Hillary off the hook as her Foundation is in no way related to a campaign.
