Sessions' decision to recuse himself was made against the wishes of Donald Trump. He did this because he's a lawyer, not a political hack.
Well, he recused himself from this investigation even though Trump and others told him he shouldn’t.

This investigation is far from a nothing burger. It’s one mother of a can of worms, and the uniparty is going to rue the day they opened it.
According to CNN’s reporting that day in history, Senator Jeff Sessions had every reason in the world to meet with the Russian Ambassador in his position on the Armed Services Committee!
