....Moonlight won the top prize at Sunday night’s Oscars ceremony—after some initial envelope confusion created a bizarre scene—and, despite the fact that the independent drama never made much of a splash at the box office. The movie, about a young, gay black man growing up in an impoverished Miami neighborhood, has only made a little more than $22.2 million in domestic movie ticket sales so far, according to Box Office Mojo. That made Moonlight the lowest-grossing Best Picture nominee at this year’s Academy Awards—and among the lowest ever for a Best Picture winner—even after generating months of Oscars buzz.

A very disgusting film about coprophiliacs portrayed as the new normal for the rimmers and felchers of Homowood. Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge was the best picture of the last 5 years hands down.

White guilt film fails in sales who knew.
In their White Guilt, Hollywood producers are forgetting three important rules.
1, The only purpose of a movie is to make money for the person who made movie.
2, Black angst movies do not make money.
3, Liberal ‘”we’re better than the common folks” beliefs do not repeal Rule #1 or Rule #2!

Not enough. Should have been a young, gay, black, Hispanic, transvestite, Muslim woman growing up in an impoverished Miami neighborhood.
I was standing I have line to see a movie while “Brokeback Mountain” was showing in another auditorium. The theater manager came out to set up a “Sold Out” sign for BM (not a bad acronym, actually.) When my movie ended, I stuck my head in to see what a ‘full house’) looked like. Would you believe it only takes six viewers?
The theater had to have been paid for all those vacant seats. I wonder who picked up the tab...
