Fake news. They say this sort of stuff amongst themselves and think this is how the world really is. They thrive on self-flattery and slander everyone else.

Yeah, Putin is a better friend to the USA than Ed Kilgore and his Communist buddies.

I don’t share an “affection” for Putin.

I just don’t care about him. This whole Russia nonsense is a bunch of made up garbage by the left to discredit Trump.

The DNC was hacked, but whether or not Russia was behind it, can anyone seriously tell me that that’s WHY Hillary lost?

Because Putin is being used as a foil for the expansion of NATO ABM missiles to the borders of Russia by the fascist globalist Wall St. and City of London financial oligarchy with the aim of provoking WWIII and the bombing of humanity back into a feudal stone age where the oligarch’s favorite game of Nazi “War Lord” can be played ‘till they puke.

Comeback question: why are so many leftists who applauded Barky’s “the 80s want their foreign policy back” now sounding like zealous members of the John Birch Society?

It’s not an “affection” for Putin. It is Christian hopefulness that Russia is taking its place as a leader in the world that will protect orthodox Christianity in a post-modernist world.

They are just trying to get every one sided up on one side or the other so they will have something to write about.

If what some one does seems fair or right to me i will say i agree, it makes no difference who it is or what party they belong to.

I do not like the democrat party but that does not mean that i am going to disagree with any thing they say just because they are a democrat.

The same goes for Putin, i agree on his view of the queers, but i do not know enough about his views on the Church to have an opinion.

I wasn’t aware that President Trump has an affection for Putin. Did they intercept a Valentine’s Card or something?

Christians love the absoluteness of Divine power and authority.

We will always gravitate towards a man (men are featured in the Bible) that exercises power and authority if we believe it is a righteous man for a righteous cause.

A related question is why so many Republicans — who four years ago were cheering Mitt Romney’s prophecies of a new Cold War struggle with Russia — have accepted Trump’s Russophilia.

Married to Russian and having spent a lot of time in the local Russian community, I have some observations:

Russians are just like us.

They like the same music, watch the same movies and tv shows, eat the same food, celebrate the same holidays and share the same values. They look like us. They dress like us. They act like us. They like to laugh, love, cook, eat, and drink and raise their children to be good people. They are proud of their accomplishments, of their heritage, of their Christian religion, not ashamed.

Given the choice between a family of Somalis, Syrians, Afghans, Iraqis, Sudanese, etc. moving into the house next door or a Russian family, I'll take Russian neighbors any day of the week.

Yet we're supposed to hate these people while welcoming with open arms every wretched third worlder that finds their way to our shores.

Large groups are complicated aggregates of individuals who may have very different opinions. People recognize that in groups they belong to but not in opposing or enemy groups. "They" are always more unified -- a simplistic caricature -- than "we" are.

There are some Evangelicals who believe that Vladimir Putin is a sincere Orthodox Christian and an opponent of modern decadence, but it would be wrong to say think that all Evangelicals or Christian conservatives think that way.

One big fat planted assumption. I doubt there was no other purpose for the article but the “of course”- Trump is an ally of Putin and implicitly an agent of Russia. That is not probable, maybe not possible. Trump is much keener than that. He and Putin will agree on things that are beneficial to both of their nations. Trump does not see Putin as an enemy though he certainly keeps that possibility on his screen.

A great example of fake news. Conservatives generally acknowledge Putin as a strong leader, who must be dealt with accordingly. This should be contrasted with former President “I can be more flexible with Russia” and his Secretary of State, Mrs. “Reset Button.”

However, conservatives are also not blind to the other dangers of the world, and there are points on which the interests of the US and those of Russia are not opposed.

The Democrats who are making Russia the ogre today, had nothing but kind and conciliatory words to say in the Soviet era. Could they just be mad that Russia dumped Communism?

They really don’t get it - they act as if we’re as simple and willing to use any small reason to blindly follow someone and believe what they believe. It’s amazing our side has been losing so much - pure cowardliness on the part of our “representatives” over the decades.
