It appears that "conservative" Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post has joined with "conservative" David Brooks of the New York Times in fully embracing the loony political fantasies of the unhinged left. Both are now predicting the imminent removal of President Trump from office. Brooks predicted Trump would resign from office or be impeached within a year. Parker is very slightly more reasonable by extending that time frame to two years when a new Congress chock full of Democrats elected in 2018 would immediately begin impeachment proceedings against Trump.

True, this is just aspirational now but the left is dead serious about removing Trump through impeachment.
The key is to knock Trump's approval rating to below 35%; then below 30%; then to below . . . some magic number - say 25%. At the magic number all the establishment RINO’s join with all 48 of the Dem senators and impeachment is not only possible, it is essential.
Remember, impeachment is not so much a legal tool as it is a political tool. You can probably count on one hand the number of Republican senators that would risk their careers to keep Trump in office if the public mood turns toxic for Trump.
Bill Clinton committed several provable crimes but he walked because many Republicans - and all the Dem senators - couldn't/wouldn't/didn't want to buck public opinion polls.

They are so funny. I guess they forgot that being impeached doesn’t relieve a president from office. That takes a simple majority of the U.S. House of Representatives (at least 218 votes), followed by a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate (at least 67 votes), to remove a U.S. President. Last time I looked, the conservatives controlled both houses with a sound majority. And how soon they forget that Clinton was impeached, but was not removed because not one liberal would vote to do so.

Impeachment requires a simple majority of the House. Conviction requires 2/3 of the Senate. With a Rat House impeachment is very likely, and that's all the Rats want, both for payback for Clinton and delegitimization.
