Elizabeth Warren is a grandstanding phony (WaPo WTH?)
WaPo ^ | Ed Rogers

Posted on 02/12/2017 7:02:30 AM PST by RoosterRedux

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was right to invoke Rule 19 against Sen Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for her personal harangue against her “friend and colleague” Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.). Dignity is flowing out of Washington and Warren is doing more than her part as she desperately tries to prove she isn’t just another tiresome Hillary Clinton. What a pretentious, grandstanding phony.

Warren is likely running for president in 2020, and she is trying to rally the embittered left and Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) crowd to her side. And her stunt disparaging now-Attorney General Sessions on the Senate floor, plus her tweet threatening that “If Jeff Sessions makes even the tiniest attempt to bring his racism, sexism & bigotry into @TheJusticeDept, he’ll hear from all of us” is a little much, even allowing for a shallow, pandering candidate’s sad attempts to crowd into the news cycle. Is Warren really the guardian of all that is fair and just and the defender of the oppressed? Since when?

Speaking as a proud Alabamian, trust me when I say that people from the state hate being screamed at about being bigots by someone from Massachusetts. This is nothing new. Anytime the left feels backed into a corner by Republicans or are having trouble defending their own actions, they yell “racism” — especially if their target happens to be a white, Southern, Christian Republican. They go straight to race quicker than you can say “Pocahontas.”

Much ado about nothing. Not even as likeable as Hillary, if that is even possible.

She will never be elected as President because the men in this country will not vote for someone who embodies their ex wife, nor would they vote for their mother-in-law, ex or not. She’s only in the slimelight now because Hillary is too decrepit to carry the banner, and Warren is too stupid to realize she has about as much charm as a pit viper.

Warren needs immediate intense psychological help. She sees things that aren’t there. She has paranoid delusions that the GOP will enslave the left and force everyone to be a Christian. In her world everything thing is racist, homophobic, etc... Nothing is real in her mind. To sum up, she is nuts.

FAKE PHONEY FRAUD ALERT!

What is the net worth of Elizabeth Warren?

According to CNN, in 2015 Warren’s average net worth, including her $5 million home, retirement accounts and mutual funds, was $8.75 million. However in the lead up to the 2012 Senate race, her Personal Financial Disclosure form puts this number much higher – at $14.5 million.

it’s an editorial written by a Republican. The post does print those sometimes. It’s hardly earth shaking in that regard

There is no rule that requires that a member of the US Senate has to be civil, or intelligent, or even sober. Just that they be over the age of 35. And in Massachusetts, it would be even harder to find somebody who is not an amoral scalawag. So it all makes sense that you end up with Elizabeth (Princess Liawatha) Warren, following in the fine tradition of John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and so on.

Ed Rogers is a contributor to the PostPartisan blog, a political consultant and a veteran of the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush White Houses and several national campaigns. He is the chairman of the lobbying and communications firm BGR Group, which he founded with former Mississippi governor Haley Barbour in 1991.

Just liberal enough to be accepted by the post, but mostly conservative.

An interesting reader comment from the Post article:

Elizabeth Warren claimed she was Cherokee and stole a set aside spot reserved for arguably the most oppressed people in the United States. The Cherokee nation keeps very detailed genealogy records, she is not listed anywhere, nor will she take a DNA test to clear this up. BTW, guess who is the only second tier law school grad on the Harvard Law faculty. That would be Elizabeth Warren, minority law professor.

Well said, Dutch Boy. Warren imagines Trump and Sessions will execute gays, rescind women's rights, and legalize slavery.

Like they were Muslims or something.

How House Republicans plan to defund Elizabeth Warren’s little agency of tyranny
Canada Free Press ^ | February 9, 2017 | Dan Calabrese / FR Posted by Cheerio

We told you on Monday about the special challenge Republicans face in what to do about the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. It’s a totally out of control administrative agency gifted with immense powers by Dodd-Frank, and designed by its architect - Elizabeth Warren - to be almost impossible for a Republican to get a job at.

Oh, and Congress is required by statute to fund it.

CFPB’s director, left-wing zealot Richard Cordray? The president can fire him only “for cause,” and that’s a lot more complicated than at-will employment.

Democrats designed the CFPB this way intentionally during the Obama Administration, so that any future Republican president would find the agency impossible to get control over. But in the House, anyway, Republicans are refusing to accept the inevitability of the CFPB running roughshod over businesses in the private sector. In today’s Wall Street Journal, Congressman Jeb Hensarling lays out a path for defunding and getting rid of this rogue agency:

The CFPB is arguably the most powerful, least accountable agency in U.S. history. CFPB zealots have the power to determine the “fairness” of virtually every financial transaction in America. The agency defines its own powers and can launch investigations without cause, imposing virtually any fine or remedy, devoid of due process. It requires lenders essentially to read their clients’ minds, know and weigh their clients’ comprehension levels, and forecast future risk.

It can compel the production of reams of data and employ methodologies that “infer” harm without finding any specific instance of harm or knowing violation. (Excerpt) Read more at canadafreepress.com ...
