They quote the following tweet: Estimating public expenditures of $162.3M for early January storms, @JerryBrownGov asks President Trump for a federal disaster declaration.

Vindictive? Hardly, the WASTE in CA on no-where trains, illegals and government union pensions alone shows clearly this state is NOT a responsible party with taxpayer funds. PERIOD.
Only if you agree to award your electoral votes proportionally. ;p
Ask all my Staten Island friends how well FEMA helped them after their houses were destroyed.
He ####ed liberal states too.
I have a sneaking suspicion that what he tells his sheeple and what he tells Trump are two different things.
“Yeah i’ll tell them this is a sanctuary state but here are the addresses of where to find them”
They wasted billions to build a high speed immigrant workers Express but wouldn’t repair a damaged spillway on the Oroville dam, now its going to cost over $200 million. Thats right NOW.
I’m betting by next Friday its going to be a massive evacuation below the dam. Social media is spreading the news thats being suppressed.
The only reason why fed $ should be released in this case is because much of the affected is the North State, which doesn’t subscribe to CA’s batsh*t liberalism.
Trump to Brown, “Get rid of the sanctuary cities and we’ll talk”.
Ahhh...the irony of Brown having to ask POTUS for help.
Calexit? Not so much.
Meanwhile, here’s hoping nothing catastrophic happens.
Set up a gofundme Jerry and get your Hollywood/Mexico pals to kick in.

Officials noted earlier this week that the cost of repairing the dam could approach $100 million, but they noted the estimate was an early, ballpark figure.

Update Oroville Dam Overtops, Govt Still Refuses to Order Evacuation Preparations (309)

This guy was live streaming yesterday. He said he plans to stream again today.
Just a guess from looking at videos but I think the Oroville dam is going to catastrophically fail in a day or two. Anybody there needs to get to high ground asap.
Thanks for updates.
I don’t quite understand why they didn’t repair the damage as soon as they saw it....obviously it is getting worse.
I get it. But the flooding is going to affect everyone, conservative or liberal, and California should be treated like any other state in the same situation.
Not to say there won’t be some behind the scenes “I’ll give it to you, but here’s what I want in return” going on.
Thanks maggief!!

One of the comments on periscope feed (paraphrasing)
Levees in Sacramento are failing.
Other comment:
Erosion occurring to the right of the spillway also.
My comment here (not on periscope feed):
This is the best coverage.
Comments coming in from many folks. Probably also redditors.
I think utube has picked it up, as well as the Calif water Dept (forgot the actual name).
Citizen journalists, represent !!
Perhaps a civil way to respond is to ignore the state and Directly Repair Stuff already in federal domain, such as interstates, roads or dams within national forests. A lot of federal land out west. I certainly would not give CA a blank check.
Trump should them him he would try to help them but the ninth circuit said no
Yeah it could wipe out the Sacramento valley. These deaths will be on the voters of California and Jerry Brown. This could be very serious man it rained hard yesterday
Amen
>>Its disappointing to see such thoughtless and vindictive posts indicating that its somehow right and appropriate for a President to eschew the welfare of an entire state just because not everyone voted for him.<<
That is not what people are saying. California, as a matter of policy, has stated it will eschew federal intervention on immigration, the environment and other topics.
Now they come begging for federal intervention in the form of money.
You can’t have it both ways. Ask for the King’s money, then dance to the King’s tune.
California can EASILY cover the 200 million being requested — just tax the rich (you know, people who make over $75K a year) a little more and problem solved.
It is unfortunate for the few California non-liberals left but California’s suicide run is at an accelerated pace.
It was with no pleasure I left my birth home and home of over 5 decades, but I could see the writing on the wall.
If you don’t like your government, vote with your feet.
