After enjoying the inauguration and our nation's peaceful transfer of power, we attempted to make our way to a parade viewing party on Pennsylvania Avenue. What should have been a painless trip across town quickly became a prime example of how unhinged the far left has become. Along the way we witnessed smashed cars, broken windows, a fire, and were called names and threatened simply because of how we were dressed; so much for tolerance and acceptance.
After arriving at the parade, we had the pleasure of running into former Massachusetts Republican Governor William Weld. Governor Weld, much like current Governor Charlie Baker, was extremely effective and amazingly popular in deep blue Massachusetts.

Governor Weld said that Johnson-Weld internal polling showed that 75 percent of their voters would have voted for Donald Trump had they not been in the race. The Libertarian ticket received nearly 4.5 million total votes in the election. It makes logical sense that three fourths of these voters, drawn to a ticket of former, successful two-term Republican Governors, would be more attracted to limited government advocates promising change from the last eight years. In addition, they saw absolutely no appetite amongst their limited government voters to support the Clinton-Kaine ticket.
In short, if the Johnson-Weld ticket had not run, Donald Trump would have won the popular vote. Given the Green Party's anemic showing and its great reluctance to support Hillary Clinton under any circumstance, it is very likely Donald Trump would have still won the popular vote even if the Green Party failed to field a candidate. In addition, Mr. Trump would have rolled up an even larger Electoral College margin, as the additional votes would have likely flipped New Hampshire, Maine, and Minnesota to his column.

Wonder how much Soros money the Libertarians earned.
I have a few of those in my family. Voted GOP down-ticket, though. Still hoping they vote DJT next time.
65,853,625 (Clinton) + 1,457,222 (Stein) = 67,310,847
62,985,106 (Trump) + 4,489,233 (Johnson) + 729,824 (McMuffin) + 203,039 (Castle, Constitution Party) = 68,407,202
(But the totals DO suggest that the US is still more conservative/libertarian than socialist, even with the illegal votes. By a hair. Or 1.6%.))
A lot of people who knew that Hillary was not acceptable but also believed the MSM garbage about Trump being the worst evil since Hitler probably took the Johnson route. But still, when the fraud is accounted for, Trump won the popular vote by plenty.
At some point in the future it will be proven conclusively that millions of illegal votes were cast by non-citizens for Hillary Clinton, and hundreds of thousands more were cast by dead people, fake people and people who voted in multiple jurisdictions. It is ironic that the cornerstone of our constitutionally limited representative democratic republic has been corrupted and tainted by a political crime syndicate known as the “Democratic Party”.
I know there are libertarian friends on this site but damn.....can’t you do better than this!!!
<< Okay ... but it’s pretty much meaningless to anyone who took 5th grade Civics, since that’s not how it’s done. >>
True, but we want to win it ALL! :^)

Agree. How do we fix it? Can the entire voter rolls be purged and require the entire nation to re-register?
Just imagine. one woman voted 5 times. I bet there are literally thousands doing that. All RAT votes I am certain.
After it is shown that there are massive anomalies I think that re-registration would be a very good start. Just the deafening howls from the opposition would make it well worth the effort.
It is a very good thing for Trump and the country, that the libertarians put forward such a wackadoodle.
Had they put forward a good candidate, he might have pulled enough away for Hillary to win. Initially, I was leaning to the libertarian party, as well as, a lot of my friends. Johnson was so crazy, that I and eventually most of the others abandoned him. Plus, I grew more and more anyone but Hillary. She had to be defeated.
That's questionable. If they voted for Crazy Johnson, the libertarians could have voted for anyone.
It certainly raises the Hillary won the popular vote argument.
Solution: improve the integrity of the electoral process. One solution that has been proposed is requiring some form of valid id for voting and severe punishment for people who cheat. Make an example.
I do believe that his six or so different sentences/paragraphs of unforced errors that were played in a loop by opponents and in ads really cost him a lot of votes. Hopefully in 2020, he will have overcome their negative effect. The snowflakes who are protesting now but didn't bother to vote this time will not make that mistake again.
Nope, Virginia is gone. This past election proved that. Luckily, states like Minnesota, Maine, Wisconsin, etc. are now in play.
Agreed
As a 31 year Libertarian Party member i can say without reservation that this article is bogus Bull$#!+.
The people who gave record support to the Party candidate were
1. NeverTrump voters who could not stomach Shrill Stein or Egg McMuffin.
2. NeverHilary voters who hated Trump.
When they voted they went on with their partisan lives in other political parties.
Some are trying to co-opt the Libertarian party and it’s views. They will not be here long when they find out that we’re a pretty stubborn lot.
These people were NEVER going to vote Trump.
Let’s stick with the illegals - no sense in coming up with our own “blame this individual” game.
