After enjoying the inauguration and our nation's peaceful transfer of power, we attempted to make our way to a parade viewing party on Pennsylvania Avenue. What should have been a painless trip across town quickly became a prime example of how unhinged the far left has become. Along the way we witnessed smashed cars, broken windows, a fire, and were called names and threatened simply because of how we were dressed; so much for tolerance and acceptance.
After arriving at the parade, we had the pleasure of running into former Massachusetts Republican Governor William Weld. Governor Weld, much like current Governor Charlie Baker, was extremely effective and amazingly popular in deep blue Massachusetts.

Governor Weld said that Johnson-Weld internal polling showed that 75 percent of their voters would have voted for Donald Trump had they not been in the race. The Libertarian ticket received nearly 4.5 million total votes in the election. It makes logical sense that three fourths of these voters, drawn to a ticket of former, successful two-term Republican Governors, would be more attracted to limited government advocates promising change from the last eight years. In addition, they saw absolutely no appetite amongst their limited government voters to support the Clinton-Kaine ticket.
In short, if the Johnson-Weld ticket had not run, Donald Trump would have won the popular vote. Given the Green Party's anemic showing and its great reluctance to support Hillary Clinton under any circumstance, it is very likely Donald Trump would have still won the popular vote even if the Green Party failed to field a candidate. In addition, Mr. Trump would have rolled up an even larger Electoral College margin, as the additional votes would have likely flipped New Hampshire, Maine, and Minnesota to his column.

Fake news and pure BS.
Tom Ross is a former chairman of the Delaware State Republican Party.
Spike their premise back into their faces.
Trump did not lose the popular vote.
If you filter out the illegal votes that Obammie the Commie illegally encouraged, Trump won the popular vote.
Why try to gloss over the voter fraud?
Just saw on Fox a brief blurb about the illegal who voted 5 times....
Hey MSM, I guess you missed that one...
Makes perfect sense. Liberterians would not have voted for Clinton.
This means an excellent chance for Trump to have a blowout second term election.
That is likely, but Trump would have won it if it weren’t for the illegal votes anyway.
I’m sure Johnson did cost Trump some votes, but that’s what makes his crushing electoral victory even more stunning. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter and Trump is president — but yeah, I do despise the disingenuous narrative that Clinton won by some 3 million votes.
The only way Clinton won the the popular vote was the votes from LA county and four boros of NYC.
The pot smoking dufus
This is not a President. This is someone looking for a meal ticket.
I beg to differ. Illegal voters, repeat voters, hijacked absentee ballots and dead voters, the latter of which have been legend for all of my 77 years, were responsible for Trump not winning the popular vote. IMHO.
“Just saw on Fox a brief blurb about the illegal who voted 5 times....”
And she’s going to jail for 8 years, then she will be deported to Mexico. But her lawyer says it was “Trump mindset” that caused the lengthy sentence. Gee, I’ve never seen “Trump mindset” as matter of law.
I agree, at least in the swing state of Virginia. Combined with the starry-eyed youth libertarian voters. Otherwise, I believe Trump/Pence would have easily taken Virginia.
She won the plurality of votes, not the majority.
When you factor in 3rd party votes, the majority voted for someone other than Clinton.
<< This means an excellent chance for Trump to have a blowout second term election. >>
Yes, and 2018 mid-term GOP pick-ups if they can fix the voterfraud, too.
Well maybe not fake news, my son voted for Johnson, but loves Trump now. I know of several others same. they were put off by DJT’s speaking style.
If Trump lost the popular vote he has nobody to blame but his own mouth. Thankfully we don’t elect presidents by popular vote.
