Howdy, radu! How goes it in your corner of the world? Still cold? It was very nice here today. *yawn*
Supposed to chill down by Sunday.
If you look at my “start date’ on FR, you will notice it lines up with the nascent Tea Party movement. The site I was on was very establishment GOP, and considered the movement as threatening to their status quo as were the democrats.
I was too radical right for them I guess.
Sometimes it’s good to be the radical! I wonder if they have changed over the years or are still stick-in-the-muds.
Howdy, LUV!
Sunny and 65 degrees this afternoon. A few high thin clouds at sunset made for a gorgeous sunset but I didn’t have a camera with me, durn it. Was coming home from visiting Aunt Clara.
But the moon was rising when I reached the house and I grabbed the camera for some shots. Out of the 40 I snapped, only one pleased me. I’ll post it in a sec.
Fred recorded this song in his own special way.
Good evening again, Publius...thank you for more tunes from the HUGE Great American Songbook of Cole Porter. ((HUGS))
FReepmail. ;-)
Howdy, PRO.
Any improvement in your weather yet? You’re probably beyond ready for it by now!
Any son time planned this weekend?
I think they are worse now.
It is these very people who despise Trump because he is not “Politically Correct”. Even if they agree in spirit with all of his policies.
It is weird that the most conservative among us are now considered the “radicals”.
Well, if I’m going to be a radical, I will be a “Free Radical”. And woe unto any anti-oxidentals that get in my way!

LOL! Very good!!
The year 1943 was somewhat kinder than 1941. Something for the Boys ran for more than a year on Broadway but produced no notable songs. Coles deal with Columbia created a second musical with Don Ameche and Janet Blair that gave the world one of his greatest standards.
Note that this song is in a minor key but sidles to the major at the cadence. Clips from the film are not available, but Don sang this song on The Edgar Bergen Show on NBC radio in 1943 backed by Ray Noble. He had a passable singing voice.
Back in the early 80s when I was doing a lot of photograpy, I took a double-exposure of the moon so that when the film was developed there appeared to be two moons instead of one.
I was very proud of that feat and took it to the office to show off! My secretary asked, “Why are there two moons?” I replied, jokingly, “Oh, well, when you view the moon with only your eyes there appears to be only one moon but when you look through a zoom lens or telescope there are actually two moons.” Everyone around was laughing except my secretary. She said, “Gee! I didn’t know that!”
** snicker **
