President Obama was criticized by Republicans for attending a church led by Jeremiah Wright, who repeatedly criticized the United States for being, in his own opinion, an evil terrorist nation. People wondered, how could Obama sit through sermons like that, year after year? Didn't that mean that at the very least, Obama didn't have any serious problems with what Wright was saying?
Well, we saw after eight years of Obama that that was probably true – that Obama saw America in a bad light. That's why he kept trying to "fundamentally transform" it.
But what about Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch? He belongs to a far-left church that embraces marriage redefinition, gun control, and the theory of man-caused global warming.
He belongs to St. John's Episcopal Church in Boulder, Colo., the Episcopal diocese of Colorado confirmed on Wednesday. Church bulletins show that the judge has been an usher three times in recent months. His wife Louise frequently leads the intercessory prayer and reads the weekly Scripture at Sunday services, and his daughters assist in ceremonial duties during church services as acolytes.
The first word that St. John's uses to describe itself on its website and Facebook page is "inclusive," and the church is led by a female rector. On its website, the church encourages members to write letters to Congress asking for actions addressing climate change.
That's not all. Its website also calls for members to lobby their congressmen for more gun control.
Rev. Susan Springer has said she is pro-gay marriage and offers blessings to same-sex couples
The church's Rev. Ted Howard also signed a letter slamming the 'disrespectful rhetoric' directed at Islam as Trump floated a ban on Muslim immigrants[.] ...

Maybe like Obama he wasnt listening
Aren’t you criticizing Trump by suggesting that his Supreme Court candidate is unsatisfactory or even erroneous?
See my post # 19.
I don’t really know, American Thinker. I really don’t know. What I do know is that I find some loose connection with the Reverend Wright/Obama connection (COMPLETELY ignored by Media, elitists and voters, BTW) and his (Gorsuch) wife and his church connections to be more “eating your own flesh” than anything else. Quick to criticize and “concern ninny” everybody to the point of total chaos that impedes any steps forward for our side.
I look at it this way, American Thinker. If there is indeed something terribly wrong, then either the leftist media and Democrats will out it with substantive facts without having to go to the conclusions AT makes about church attendees and their allegiance to AT’s assessment of the propriety. Of course, the faith we place in Donald Trump should assure us his team has already vetted him to their satisfaction.
Concern Ninny, Concern Ninny.....blah, blah blah. Yada, yada, yada......he maybe be bad.... ooga booga. I’m sick of this attrition of will and convictions on our side.
Many guys only attend a church because their wives like it. This can be important in his role as a Supreme Court justice. How much influence would his wife have over him? To what extent would he bend his decisions to avoid upsetting his wife and her circle of friends?
On the lower court that he's been on, his wife and friends would not be affected, or even aware, of his rulings. The Supreme Court is different.
I’ve been reading up on his judicial opinions. He’s a terrific judge who follows the law, not his personal feelings. I wouldn’t care if he worshipped Thor.
Initiating obvious religious tests are no way for Republicans to gain friends and influence people.
This nominee has already proven his metal on the courts record.
It’s not generally accepted that subversives are Episcopalian.
Sounds like this article arouses the certain idea that finally the Left has succeeded in driving some conservatives as “nutty” as they are.
His record on the bench speaks for itself. There are liberals and conservatives in almost every church, not many churches are 100% conservative these days.
Yep, it does. Like to see him hand in his letter of withdrawal. Lou Dobbs, too.

Gorsuch may not be a good choice. In fact, he probably isn’t.
LOL - excellent points.
My mother goes to a liberal church, PC-USA, but she was a gung-ho Trump supporter from his first announcement.
My mothers Presbyterian church supports gay marriage also. My mom does not. I think this is more fake news.
This guy is another John Roberts.
LOL
I bet the backroom deals are being made even as we type.............
RE: My mom does not. I think this is more fake news.
Why is it fake news? It is real news that the church he goes to has a liberal Pastor and staff.
Oh, sober up and get real instead of sounding like you just got sucked up by a UFO.
It's the Episcopal church for goodness sakes. This is not a splinter group of the Branch Dividians. They worship golf and sailing as much as anything else.
Why belong to a church unless you are at one with its teachings? Something smells here.
I am tending to agree at this point....sadly
As long as his pastors aren’t Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson or Louis Farrakhan, I’m good.
A great tactic of the left. If they can’t submarine a pick, try and get the right to destroy one of their own by claiming they’re not conservative enough.
