Over sixty percent of California voters went for Hillary Clinton -- a margin of more than 4 million votes over Donald Trump.
Since Clinton's defeat, the state seems to have become unhinged over Trump's unexpected election.
"Calexit" supporters brag that they will have enough signatures to qualify for a ballot measure calling for California's secession from the United States.
Some California officials have talked of the state not remitting its legally obligated tax dollars to the federal government. They talk of expanding its sanctuary cities into an entire sanctuary state that would nullify federal immigration law.
Californians also now talk about the value of the old Confederate idea of "states' rights." They whine that their state gives far too much revenue to Washington and gets too little back.
Residents boast about how their cool culture has little in common with the rest of the U.S. Some Californians claim the state could easily go it alone, divorced from the United States.
Sound a bit familiar?
In December 1860, South Carolina seceded from the Union in furor over the election of Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln did not receive 50 percent of the popular vote. He espoused values the state insisted did not reflect its own.
In eerie irony, liberal California is now mirror-imaging the arguments of reactionary South Carolina and other Southern states that vowed to go it alone in 1860 and 1861.

The Marines will fight for the California Republic because tRump USA won't be able to pay for its own military without California tax revenue.

Orange County went Clinton last November. First time I remember it going Democrat. So much for it being a Republican area.

I think that’s the optimum solution. Great idea.
The only downside (to me) is the many conservative Californians who would be stuck going along with the loony left.

That’s the only solution because we have conservatives out there even in minority. They had to land in the state to do their jobs. Examples include Brietbart that has offices there in Los Angelse, Bill Whittle, commentator, lives outside Los Angeles and One America News Network is coming from San Diego. The people north of San Francisco want to leave the state and have tried since 2010.
The only people in California who have the tools of war are conservatives.
If they actually voted to secede one solution would be to split it into 3 states. The section from LA to the Golden Gate bridge between the coast and I-5; call it “Looneyville”. Then the section on the northern end that has wanted to form a state called “Jefferson” and finally the rest which would stay “California”.
After Looneyville goes broke and bankrupt; reduce it to a territory requiring anyone leaving the area to show proof of citizenship via card developed in the USA and not able to be forged.
Problem solved.
If you really think that and aren’t being sarcastic; you have no idea what is going right now.
These are the same people that dodged the draft. They’re more concerned with their own well-being than they are in a principal. Sure, they will carry signs and shout out and be violent when they know the police will protect them. But they don’t have the backbone to be real fighters.
Besides I doubt it very few of them have guns or training. There would be a big learning curve. In the meantime our side would mow them down.
But anyway, who would send the U.S. Army in? Most of the rest of the country would be happy to see them go. This presidency isn’t going to do a thing to stop them. It would have to be a liberal president and Congress, and then they would be fighting their own.
But you could be right after all. It is hard to judge just a stupid liberals will be :-) I am trying to use logic, and I should know better LOL
