Grow up. Seriously, I know I am in the minority here, but one can wish Trump would tone down the tweeting, while still being a tough guy Conservative. I do, and I am, or would you like to take this outside? LOL. I actually think, because Trump plays 12 dimensional Chess, that this comment by Gorsuch is a GOOD thing, because it makes him look more "Judgely" and independent from the President. Trump done good again, yessiree bob.
It might be BS. Let’s wait to see if Trump replies.

“When the scandal first broke, Blumenthal spoke to veterans at a VFW hall in West Hartford, where he called his lie absolutely unintentional. On a few occasions, I have misspoken about my service, and I regret that, and I take full responsibility.”
So, the spokesperson guiding Gorsuch through the nominating process says that he DID, in fact, say this.
That’s definitely troubling.
What in the world have we come to if a black and white, very straightforward statute has to be parsed and argued over with every little interpreted nuance?
I long for the ‘good ole days’ when words meant what they clearly said.
Conversation probably went like this, a question from Blumenthal to Gorsuch: “Do you agree that the tweets from the President regarding the judiciary are ‘demoralizing’ and ‘disheartening’?”
Gorsuch answer: “Yes, I would agree with that characterization.”
CNN poses the loaded question and jumps to broadcast the answer as the Judge’s words.
Then CNN reports: “Judge Gorsuch said the tweets are ‘demoralizing’ and ‘disheartening’.”
Fox News led with this on their 6 O’clock program.
It has been confirmed now by Gorsuch’s spokesman.
Add NBC to the list.
Nicely played. Now the Dems will vote for him. Or maybe enough to turn it.
The comment all but ensures his confirmation. Absolutely brilliant 3D chess move by Trump/Gorsuch.
Yep. Besides, it’s counterproductive.
I agree. In this twitter situation, our President should not be making snarky comments about the Judges deciding his EO. Not smart to demean a set of Judges deciding the fate of your EO.
Would a lawyer waiting on a Judge to decide his court case really go out in public and call that Judge snarky names to the media and then expect a favorable ruling? NO.
He’s probably disheartened that we have such bad judges that the president needs to comment on them. That’s probably closer to what he may have really said.
The judge already decided when the President made his comment.
These are not real judges. These are partisan hacks who hold judicial power that they wield to wage a coup against our elected officials who passed laws we want. Real judges don’t assume powers they do not have under the Constitution.
Is there video/audio/writings from this spokesman to confirm any of this? What exactly did the spokesman say?
.
Fakers faking.
A simple “I have no comment” would have sufficed, Mr. Gorsuch.
I don't think Trump or anyone else in the WH was under any illusion on how the 9'th circus will rule on this, so no harm done at all. Too many judges have been legislating from the bench, and I see a benefit to calling them on it these days. It's an issue that needs to be brought to light.
It is a brilliant move for the Judge. In effect he is campaigning in the Senate for election to a job in an equal piece of Govt. So showing independence is a great move to get to 60 votes
Trump won’t yank him. He is way too qualified and that would be a horrible move
What I thought was funny was the Dem Senator from CT was talking about a “private”!conversation he had with the judge. Pure class. Have a private chat and then run looking for a camera. That is what burns me up. There is no integrity anymore. All is fair in love and war they say.
