Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch told a US senator Wednesday that President Donald Trump's tweets about the judiciary are "demoralizing" and "disheartening."
In a meeting with Connecticut Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Gorsuch, who's largely been silent since Trump nominated him last week, took exception to Trump calling a federal judge in Seattle a "so-called judge" after blocking the President's travel ban.

I agree on how he feels about them- no problem with that. I am on board. But like you said NOT GOOD strategy.
Yes, every day for 4-8 yrs, we are going to have twitter battles to fight and defend on top of everything else facing this nation.
He really needs to learn the Southern way of smacking people down and making it look like a compliment.
“I wouldnt believe Blumenthal if he said water is wet.”
Yup, Judge G’s first mistake was meeting with that a-hole Blumenthal! What a disgusting, slimey, partisan hack, weasel that guy is!
We must absolutely stop revering judges! My own attorney who helped us with a huge amount of litigation and dealt with ridiculous judges who were favoring the local attorneys said,”Remember, ultimately judges are just attorneys like the rest of us.” Mark Levin has made a big deal about the “reverence” that we are told we must have for the judiciary, but his main point was that we have 3 co-equal branches of government and they all have the right to criticize each other.
Me neither. The rationale for giving judges lifetime appointment is to insulate them for politics. If one of the black robed idiots decide to get political, they need to suffer massive backlash for it. I also think this is a good time to revisit the whole lifetime appointment thing for judges at most levels.
I agree - that was my first thought - he’s saying this to show these idiots on the other side that he’s fair and balanced.....that being said I’m beginning to wish Trump would stay off Twitter......

Looked at that Bonjean guy’s Twitter history... he sure doesn’t like Trump at all. Looks like he’s a Romney guy. I smell a bit of a rat here.
amen!
Someone here reported that Kelly Ayotte was shepherding him around—though I haven’t seen that confirmed.
All he needs to do is take more advice from the people who have been losing for 80 years, and you guys will be happy. I hope you stay miserable.
Looks verified. Vote him down.
Judicial tyranny is the #1 problem in this country. That’s what Scalia thought. If you’re “disheartened” when someone criticizes judges, you’re not one of us and you’re not going to fight for us when you get on the Court.
Don’t believe the hype about this guy. Another Souter or Kennedy in the making.
Yep. Sounds like a Kennedy or Souter or Roberts.
Gorsuch’s pro life credentials are an unknown. He’s never ruled on abortion. He used to have a sodomite clerk work for him after the sodomite “married” his boyfriend, Gorsuch wrote him a letter of congratulations and told the sodomite his “marriage” would make him and his partner’s relationship grow even stronger. Trump should immediately withdrawn Gorsuch’s nomination and select a real conservative. We’re finished if this Kennedy clone is put on the court.
Maybe I am looking too deeply into this, but maybe the Pres saw this coming, put up this guy knowing what was going to happen, and now will nominate Judge Pryor and tell the Dimwits to shove it where the sun don’t shine... I woulda’ done it like this so I like this plan.
As others have speculated, perhaps this is the game plan. Trump and Gorsuch playing 3 dimensional chess with the end result being dems confirming him.
Hey it could happen. DiFi is already on record of liking him.
If betraying conservative principles is strategic, we need a new chess move.
Gorsuch was great on paper, but today he came out as a tyrant.
Get rid of him.
My sentiments exactly. Lou Dobbs said that Gorsuch owed Pres Trump an apology.
He didn’t have to comment on this case at all, especially since it could wind up in the Supreme Court.
Another article on it.:
Turns out this judge goes to a very liberal Church.
Meet the liberal church where Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch worships http://dailym.ai/2lh0yRP via @MailOnline
Terrible strategy as it gives everyone cover to say Pryor is too extreme.
We need to call conservative Senators and give them an ear-full.
