A former Defense Department official under the Obama administration has raised the specter of a military coup to remove President Donald Trump from power. In an editorial penned for Foreign Policy, senior Pentagon policy official Rosa Brooks publicly suggested a military insurrection against the Trump administration may be the only option to oust one of the most divisive presidents in American history. “Donald Trump’s first week as president has made it all too clear: Yes, he is as crazy as everyone feared,” Ms. Brooks wrote. “[One] possibility is one that until recently I would have said was unthinkable in the United States of America: a military coup, or at least a refusal by military leaders to obey certain orders.” For the first time in her career in public service, including three years as senior counselor to the Pentagon’s policy chief from 2009 to 2011, “I can imagine plausible scenarios in which senior military officials might simply tell the president: ‘No, sir. We’re not doing that.’” Ms. Brooks’ editorial comes as a recent poll by Public Policy Polling group found that 40 percent of registered voters support Mr. Trump’s impeachment.

I would expect that a lot of good officers quit under Obama and a lot of leftist ones were elevated. That will take some time to undo.
It seems Obama planted this commissar in DOD to keep them from having a coup to remove him - ala USSR under Stalin.

And there’s more than one reason Trump wanted Gen. Mattis and Gen. Kelly in the positions he placed them in; he’s not a stupid person.
I’d be willing to bet that those two Marine generals know exactly who the particular “sycophantic” individuals are and have taken steps to neuter them already, or have contingency plans in place to step all over them should they get froggy and attempt a coup.

If “military leaders” tried this the most likely outcome would be that those “military leaders” would be arrested and court-martialed on very serious charges.
Trump should rid the military of all high ranking officers appointed by Obama. The DOJ should and must prosecute all those who are advocating the overthrow of the government which is a felony punishable by up to 20 years.
It should be noted that if a coup occurs a civil war will come about with the right winning big.
If a military coup were to take place, it won’t be Trump having to worry. . .it will be the criminal Dems, their Media shills, bureaucrats and academic whores that get frogged marched to the Gitmo.
Per the bio you posted, she’s a lawyer who never served a day in the military. Instead, her idea of how the military runs most likely comes from left wing think tanks she’s been involved in. That probably explains everything.

Yesterday I had the nutty woman who told me be afraid to leave the house as the revolution is coming. Think of the military people you have most admired in the last decade.
They have probably been fired, killed in “an accident”, or forced to retire.

Yep got that right. On the night of election my oldest said the base was joyous , and then when they heard gen Mattis was going to be there they all called him St Mattis LOL.
