At least two manager level Secret Service officials were fired and escorted from the White House complex, according to a report by reporter Steve Clemons.
The Secret Service has been accused of slow-walking an investigation of an agent based in Denver who publicly stated she would not take a bullet for President Donald Trump.

“The swamp isnt as deep as it used to be.”
Maybe so, but the depth of the swamp is not what counts, it’s the real thick stuff that clings to the bottom that’s hardest to get rid of. You know, the real hard core scum.
what are there? 200 countries in the world. Do we need analyst and embassies to all of them. Let’s pare down the entire department. Maybe it will be easy to fire 900.
Not comforting to know—all these fired, and very angry individuals are running around loose now, and they are privy to details of the inner workings of POTUS’ security...
To me it’s disappointing to see so many FReepers assuming POTUS is some kind of omnipotent fellow who can fix all the problems by simply saying “You’re fired!”
It’s going to take a lot more—from us.
The difficult part is “firing” these CivServs and then denying their pension.
“Armpit Alabama? Really?”
LOL. Neil Young could not be reached for comment...
Us Yankees call them “sloughs” (pronounced ‘slew’). Backwaters and oxbows.
Agreeed. We have vastly overblown overgrown embassies in some places too. (But what really needs cleaning up
Is the pro- Nazi like infestation that’s been buried in the Snake department for a long time already ( made much worse by obama of course and spread throughout many parts of washDC including defense and intelligence it appears and security
I always thought secret service was under the Treasury Department ......
******************************************************
Effective March 1, 2003, the Secret Service transferred from the Treasury to the newly established Department of Homeland Security.
This would now be General Kelly .... who won’t put up with the same cr@p that Jeh Johnson put up with.
Here is one possibility, a long way from anywhere. There used to be one USFWS biologist stationed there who got to work near the nerve gas bunkers. Don't know if there is anyone there anymore.

“What should happen is that she be put in charge of Obamas detail and let her follow his worthless butt for a while.”
Excellent idea, or maybe on the Bill & Hill detail.
The water level in the swamp drooped a few inches overnight.
The author is a FReeper and has been a spokesperson for FR. Do you honestly think he wouldn’t get his facts correct?
I don’t rule out that these are planned leaks to catch the spies.
My bet is this has nothing to do with the Denver agent.
These were more than likely Obama insiders leaking info to him.
DHS loyalist ratted them out to the new Secretaty????? Hopeful!!!!
Sure. Make two or three different versions of a provocative statement in front two or three different suspects and see which version the press gets. Wouldn't surprise me.
That SS agent should already be fired. The whole job is about taking a bullet.
Not at all. This was the first I have heard of this story, and I harbor some degree of caution with nearly everything these days (it is easy to get burned, even here on FR). It is not a necessarily a bad thing, in my opinion, and I doubt Kristinn would be offended.
I know Kristinn personally reasonably well, and in my initial introduction to FR with the DC Chapter back in 2004, he kindly invited me to stay at his house when I drove down from New England, though I ended up staying at another Freeper’s house. Over the next decade I made the pilgrimage a dozen or two times, I went to more than a few events with him, and spent a good deal of time conversing with him, so I have a great deal of respect for him. (My three Freeper heroes were Dr. Raoul, Kristinn, and the Trooprally’s...:) No reflection on Kristinn at all, and I don’t think he would have taken issue with my query.
