At least two manager level Secret Service officials were fired and escorted from the White House complex, according to a report by reporter Steve Clemons.
The Secret Service has been accused of slow-walking an investigation of an agent based in Denver who publicly stated she would not ‘take a bullet’ for President Donald Trump.

If a NYC cop said “I will no longer get involved in a shooting and protect civilians”, he’d be in a heap of trouble.

Clemons is an “Editor at large” for The Atlantic. Not sure how credible he is. Seems odd that he would get a big scoop about events in DC while is in Tokyo and is about to board a 14 hour flight. This could all evaporate.
Clemons suddenly on a 14 hour flight from asia...wonder if related to story or if he had planned to come back.

Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi will be very concerned. This could have a chilling effect on all those executive branch employees who wish to exercise their right to work at a pace of their own choosing.
Based on the amount of leaking going on, the President has a lot of firing to do.
By who? They are not obliged by law to protect, the mayor wouldn't do anything, their union would protect them and a pitiful number of NY'ers wouldn't care.
