With secession threats looming, the state of California is reportedly studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities.
With California counties among the Top 10 who stand to lose tax-payer funding for providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants...
KPIX5 reports that officials are looking for money that flows through Sacramento to the federal government that could be used to offset the potential loss of billions of dollars’ worth of federal funds if President Trump makes good on his threat to punish cities and states that don’t cooperate with federal agents’ requests to turn over undocumented immigrants, a senior government source in Sacramento said.
The federal funds pay for a variety of state and local programs from law enforcement to homeless shelters.

Geography doesn’t vote, people do. So, it doesn’t matter how much red there is on the map. Its not one acre one vote, its one man one vote.
We better learn that the popular vote is what counts in every election except the Presidential....we have two years to win the popular vote in 2018 or we lose the Senate and then all bets are off. Do you have any effing idea how stupid all this chatter here today is? HOOVER Dam was built by the Federal Government ( Bureau of Reclamation ) not California. The available water distribution is through a Federal Compact that gives CA and AZ rights to certain portions of the water. Right now, Southern California is in a world of hurt because AZ is finally taking ALL of it's allotment. So SoCal’s cut is smaller every year because of AZ. Secondly, Lake Mead is silting up and the long-term availability of the water behind Hoover Dam is in no way certain.
Apart from these realities, it's a hoot to watch all the Non-Califiornians pi$$ing themselves over absolutely stupid scenarios with respect to California. I guess we're your “New Nixxer’s” to trash, and you seem to not have the mental acuity to comprehend that there are millions of good Conservatives living here ( I guess you've forgotten where Ronald Reagan came from, and also Jim and John Robinson). But the truth of the matter is all this talk of Calexit is just the “wet dream” of some left-wing nuts that will never come to pass. The only thing these idiots are missing is their pink "vagina hats," and IQ's that are double digit at best.
