Question for Cokie Roberts: how many refugees admitted into the US during WWII went on to commit mass-murder terrorist acts in our country?
The question arises because on todays Morning Joe, Cokie contended that shutting out Syrian refugees would be like shutting the Jews out during World War II. Roberts made her remark in the context of claiming that the plans President Trump has announced are extremely dangerous for the United States of America.

Were Jews sending all their military aged men into other countries to rape and kill and implement sharia law?
So - Syrians are being summarily rounded up in concentration camps and exterminated for their faith (and related ethnicity)? Hmmm.... must be some of that secret code word news...
Now - if she had said CHRISTIAN Syrians being shut out is like shutting Jews out in WWII, that might come closer - after all, Obama’s policy on Syrian “refugees” included not approving Syrian refugees who identified as Christians... only muslim Syrians were being encouraged and helped to come.
And when the hold is lifted should bring in only Christian refugees to balance all the muslims already here.
By the way - I’ve long wondered - how does one get a name like “Cokie”? Is it from snorting too much Cocaine?
Except that no one is trying to eradicate Syrians. And Jews weren’t causing mayhem all over Europe. And people weren’t disguising themselves as Jews to immigrate.
She is completely nuts.
Jewish people are extremely intelligent, productive members of society.
The refugees, not so much. There are some that are bent on destroying Western Civilization and killing people.
Start with wiki for general information than start googling. Fascinating!!
No, not the same. Would she allow us to accept non-Islamic refugees from Syria (presuming there are still any alive?). That’d be fine with me. Just so long as there are zero Islamic people and those already in the US leave. Set up safe-havens for them in Syria.
no... it would be like shutting out Nazi party members and active German military during WW2 !!!!
“Cokie, youd best get to work on selling more tote-bags. The Federal NPR gravy-train is soon coming to a halt.”

LOL! You reminded me of a funny “Friends” episode, where Phoebe hates PBS and Joey gets a gig on a PBS fundraiser. :)
I didn’t know the liberal hag Cokie Roberts was still alive. I guess it’s true that evil never dies.
Cokie, national suicide isn’t who we are!
Kookie has that “I’ve been dragged down a cobblestone road for miles” look since late 90’s
“Shutting out Syrian refugees is like magnifying how stupid I am”
More like shutting out Germans or Japanese during World War II.
My God, will these people ever learn who is the real enemy?
These people are absolutely addicted to Virtue Signaling. They are just so “compassionate” as long as it’s other people that have to suffer the consequences.
It’s not the daughters of these elitist snobs that get gang raped leaving Target. It’s not their sons that can’t hang drywall for a living wage.
I’m sick of it, smash them!
These commie-libs pop off with these assinine gems of drivel as a means of maintaining their cred with all the other whackos who, desperate tomaintain THEIR cred, will seize upon it and parrot it around the echo chamber. Gravitas, anyone?/S
So giving aid and comfort to military age males who’ve ditched their women and kids in a war zone is equivalent to not saving Jews from gas chambers. Okaaay....
European Jews in 1938, the year of the SS St.Louis were educated, skilled, wanted to come as families, were fluent in European languages, and had no desire to demand special rights. Cokie is correct, FDR should have allowed them to enter.
