The photo that the media has been showing of the Trump inauguration, that they have been using to FALSELY assert that the crowd as small, is a DECEPTION. The photo was not taken at noon when Trump was being sown in. Peter Mansbridge, the anchorman of The National on the CBC stated during the Jan 20 broadcast that the photo was taken AN HOUR BEFORE the ceremonies even began! IE: the picture was taken an hour before the 9:30 AM opening ceremonies when the crowd was still filling in at not yet at full capacity! The media is once again engaging in yet another low down dirty manipulation & outright hoax. I watched the Trump inauguration LIVE via television so I knew right away that this media narrative / lie [ of a "small" Trump crowd with the media deceptively using this early MORNING picture] was false as the cameras had panned away during the Trump address showing a large crowd assembled at the moment Trump was sworn in and giving his inaugural address. I notice that no one seems to be pointing out this pertinent and important fact - that the picture in question was taken an hour BEFORE the ceremonies even began! This is yet another MEGA deception that the media is using to try to delegitimize Donald Trump. I hope that Trump himself could address this mega deception to the public.
i was there. it was epic. i have very bad videos cuz i don’t like taking video of people just hanging out. i’ll will try to post my stuff.
But at the same time, it is clear the crowds for this inauguration were much smaller than Obama’s 2009 crowds — for obvious reasons, like the fact that only a few thousand people in DC voted for Trump, that the surrounding districts were mostly for Clinton as well, and frankly the weather was poor and Trump just isn’t as “historic” as the first black president.
Also some people stayed away because of the threats of violence. But I doubt that this prevented a record crowd — there was just no way that many people were going to take off of work to go see this in person. It was live on TV after all.
It is ridiculous that they keep circulating a false picture, but that’s no reason to try to claim there was a record crowd either. It simply is not important.
Expect eight years of this.
I went to Washington back in 2002 for FR’s ‘Patriot’s Rally for America’. After seeing the assembly of radical communist organizations and other riff-raff in attendance on the ‘other side’, I made a decision NEVER togo neat that cesspit again so long as I lived. Nation’s Capitol? Americans should be embarrassed.

The whole argument about size is so stupid and it diminishes Trump. Who cares? It would have been a 5 minute story, but now everyone knows it was just an average size crowd, but so what. It really is not that big a deal.
That picture was on either NBC or CBS as well (can’t remember which was on when I saw it). I would assume both used it, though.
His father was Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes. Of course he’s a fricking Democrat.
I hope Trump continues to dismantke the so called free press. They do not believe in freedom, they believe is a misinformed US public, which is a violation of the presses 1st amendment duty.
So now the press does not need to be censored. It needs to be exposed.Look for the White House Press Secretary beocme a publishing agency , correcting the press, contradicting the press and publishing the truth.

1. Good point. My wife and I were set to go, but because of recent colds/bronchitis we watched it on TV.
2. Because of the threat of violence I didn’t want to take the chance of putting my wife in harm’s way. She has a bad foot and is not very mobile. I have inhaled enough CS/pepper spray in my life and that was also a factor.
3. Some good points latter on in this thread about the wisdom of even arguing this point. It is childish and amateurish, but unfortunately reflects the “reality TV” culture that influences so many.
