Senator Roberts: “Senator Wyden, I’ve got a Valium pill here if you might wanna take it before the second round…just a suggestion”
Senator Wyden: “Mr. Chairman, Mr. Chairman, I hope that comment about Valium doesn’t set the tone for 2017 in this committee. I like Senator Roberts but I…I just can’t quite believe he would say that to a distinguished Senator from Oregon.

What's sad is the FReepers who swore up and down that Roberts will morph into an Arlen Specter clone if he's re-elected will NEVER admit that they were wrong, even now as we're coming up to three years after that election.
They smeared one of the Senate's MOST reliably conservative members as a Democrat-lite RINO because they were dazzled by some empty suit "celebrity" candidate who told them what they wanted to hear.
I had to eat crow the day of the November 2016 election after I said for months that Trump would lose to Hillary, the anti-Roberts FReepers should likewise have to man up and admit THEY were wrong.
Crow in this instance should taste pretty good.

My mistake (actually this blog post’s msitake), it was actually Sherrod Brown who said that, in defense of his buddy Wyden.
But either way that would have been a great comeback.
Wyden succeeded in delaying the confirmation of Pompeo. Making America less safe.
Mattis and Kelly confirmed. ONLY Gillibrand voted no on Mattis, while 11 voted no on Kelly. I thought the dems were less friendly to Mattis and more to Kelly.
Truly, that’s what Wyden said....and I’m sure Murray would never admit to being WAY past the age of having to deal with PMS.. Those two don’t say much for the voters in OR and WA, do they? Pitiful human beings!
PMS - just another change (HA! HA! - in TERMS) on the way to getting older! We had bad days and we dealt with them. They didn’t have a label for it then so we got through them without further adieu. I don’t think we even got sympathy from our mothers! When that particular condition was given a label, everyone had to suffer - including people who sat around saying - what in tarnation is going on with her?
