Too bad Roberts didn’t reply, “Who is the distinguished Senator from Oregon ? Gordon Smith was defeated back in 2008.”
My mistake (actually this blog post’s msitake), it was actually Sherrod Brown who said that, in defense of his buddy Wyden.
But either way that would have been a great comeback.
