Fireworks! Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas (R) offers Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon (D) a Valium during the Treasury confirmation hearing.
Senator Roberts: Senator Wyden, Ive got a Valium pill here if you might wanna take it before the second round
just a suggestion
Senator Wyden: Mr. Chairman, Mr. Chairman, I hope that comment about Valium doesnt set the tone for 2017 in this committee. I like Senator Roberts but I
I just cant quite believe he would say that to a distinguished Senator from Oregon.
Senator Roberts: I said that to the President of the United States at one point
Watch the heated exchange between these two men
I sure do hope this sets the tone for 2017!

Sorry Wyden, the last distinguished Senator from Oregon was Hatfield.
You, Merkley, and Smith and Packwood before you help to fuel my tagline.

I’m proud to call Senator Roberts one of ours! He’s one of the most intelligent men in Washington and has a wicked sense of humor. All that and a solid conservative to boot. The only argument I can think of against Congressional term limits.

It’s going to be one of Trump’s legacies.
After decades of pathetic, cowering in the face of Dummycrat attacks, the GOP finally has its balls back

Notic that a sap-happy liberal's fall-back position is inevitably:
"I'm a helpless victim subjugated by these scurrilous Republicans."

Well, it looks like the snowflake Senators dont like little pinpricks of humor. May it continue unabated for the next eight years!
Hear hear. Most liberals cannot even handle a bit of mocking. They presume respect but offer none and when that unequal balance is rattled, so are they!

I think we’ll see a phenomenon occurring: Republicans nationwide will find their balls again...and use them.
That’s the power of The Don.

Second only to Barbara Boxer ‘Please don’t call me ma’am. It’s Senator. I worked very hard for that title’.
I lived in California when she was first elected. She floated a rumor that the Republican she was running against, Bruce Nathanson IIRC, was seen coming out of a strip club. No proof, but it tanked him. THAT was her hard work. And this was when Republicans occasionally got elected to a state office in California.
