A growing group of Democratic lawmakers will boycott President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday as a protest of Trump’s worldview and his criticism of civil rights icon John Lewis, congressman of Georgia
There are now more than 40 House Democrats — 42, at last count — who have declared that they will not attend the inauguration on Capitol Hill this week. The number rose sharply after Trump tweeted Saturday that Lewis is “all talk, talk, talk” and should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities.”
Lewis, who sees Trump’s Nov. 8 win as illegitimate because of Russia’s alleged interference in the election, is best known for leading civil rights protests in the 1960s, including the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., in which state troopers brutally attacked the crowd. Lewis will not attend the inauguration, he told NBC News in an interview for Sunday’s “Meet the Press.”
Here’s a list of other lawmakers who will not attend, starting alphabetically with Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), whose spokesman confirmed her decision in an email.

I bet ALL of them are in EXTREMELY safe districts.
Democrats spit on the peaceful transfer of power and have resisted the notion for decades.
Stole the 1960 election.
Worked to remove Nixon from office for a long time (before Watergate).
Worked to remove Reagan, had protests.
Bush (I) was considered as Reagan-Bush and efforts continued to remove him as well. Oliver Stoned planned an “expose” film but couldn’t raise sufficient funds and distribution in time for the 1988 election.
Staged national protests and support for Al Gore who refused for a month to concede the 2000 election.
Staged national protests and support for John Kerry who refused for 3 days to concede the 2004 election.
Worked to remove Bush from office.
And now the month long hissy fit to deny Trump the White House. Talks of coups (Rosie O’Donnell) and domestic terrorism to obstruct and cause chaos.
I don’t see how this action by the Left doesn’t help Donald Trump and conservatives, for, both, the short-term and the long-term. Ditto, all future actions by all anti-Trump/anti-conservative Republicans. Whenever the Left is out of power, they get crazy, and it keeps getting worse for the Left (Yea, for Conservatism!).
Could they avoid it BECAUSE they have
pre-knowledge of an (their) attack?

Just keep in mind it took them 60 years or more to get to this point. Now, now we see what they are doing will we continue to just observe?
Like the state of the union, nothing in the constitution requires the oath of office to be an extravaganza. It could be at the local Wendy’s over a burger and coke.
The important part is that the president’s signature the next 4 years binds acts of congress as law, the military has a new commander, and the executive department has a new boss.
I doubt tickets are transferrable. Member seats are pretty close to POTUS

Really? My ancestors fought with the Green Mountain Boys in the American Revolution, and I don't feel the slightest bit insulted.
Maybe those Democrats will be working that day in the food kitchens of the ghettos they created over the decades with their welfare programs.

Trump should just send out a tweet that he doesn’t want any democrat senators or congressmen at the inauguration and is banning them from attending.
Then they will all forget about their petty grievances and demand to be admitted.
They will be pushing, shoving and stomping on each other to get a place in the crowd.
