President-elect Donald Trump says his plan to replace the nations health care law will include insurance for everybody.
Trump made the comment in an interview with the Washington Post published on Sunday.
The president-elect says: Were going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us.

Insurance should be like automobiles - if you need transport, you can buy a mercedes or you can buy a 15 year old honda civic that suits your needs. Our extensive free-market means something is available to everybody.
Some people also choose not to buy automobiles. If they need transport, they figure out how to pay for it on their own.
Health insurance should be no different.
“... The GOP was in charge for a long time. And did NOTHING ...”
-
How do you define “in charge”, and when the GOP was “in charge”?
Insurance for Everybody!...
‘It’s on me!”
(he is a multi-millionaire)
We have to start with the fact that there will be no insurance for illegals, no other freebies also.
When you provide “insurance” for someone with a pre-existing condition, it’s not insurance anymore. It’s medical care. The distinction needs to be made.
Insurance is for everybody. I just want my old carrier back at decent rate. In the meantime, I’ll have to keep what my employer supplies.

Bill Clinton has blasted President Obamas signature piece of legislation ObamaCare as the craziest thing in the world.
Youve got this crazy system where all of a sudden, 25 million more people have health care, and then the people who are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half and its the craziest thing in the world, the former president railed at a rally in Michigan on Monday.
Clinton also said the system is hurting moderately successful small businesses ones that arent doing poorly enough to be subsidized and fall just above the line.
On the other hand, the current system works fine if youre eligible for Medicaid, if youre a lower-income working person, if youre already on Medicare or if you get enough subsidies on a modest income that you can afford your health care, Clinton said.
But the people getting killed in this deal are the small-business people and individuals who make just a little bit too much to get any of these subsidies, he added. ...

>>>Why is it that my car insurance Inhad in Texas transferred to Utah; but the medical insurance I have in Utah is NOT EVEN AVAILABLE in Texas
With auto insurance, you are just looking for a check to cover your expenses. You get to choose who does the repairs. With health insurance, you are purchasing access to a network of doctors and hospitals that the insurance company has agreed to cover some agreed upon costs. Your Utah insurer is not likely to have much of a network in Texas. This is why the ability to sell across state lines is overrated as a cost saver.
It didn't.
It may have been offered by the same insurance company but I assure you you got a new policy.
Just like health insurance, where United Healthcare offers policies in multiple states but they're all still regulated at the state level.
Posters are talking about the ‘previous law’ and ‘patching the previous law’.
And just what was the previous law? A federal law? Some monstrosity that led to obamacare?
We had Medicare and Medicaid. Not solvent, never will be. Black holes.
How about just keeping the fed and state gov’ts out of ‘providing health care. Leave us alone. My healthcare is my business.
I believe defunding the illegals would provide immediate relief to our system. That may be the 20 mil the left keeps screaming will be without insurance. Too bad. They’ve overloaded and abused the system at every turn. Americans first!
Well, I was looking forward to the inauguration. Looks like it’ll just be another day.
I agree completely.
100%.
That is part of the problem. We do not need to cover people who are in America illegally.
They can get treatment in their own country. Every other country in the entire planet is that way, there is NO REASON why Americans have to cover foreigners.
None.
I heard the argument some years back, think it was on Rush but I could be wrong, that if the govt simply paid the premiums of the 20 million or so uninsured and did nothing else, it would cost a lot less than what Odungocare is costing us.
Sounds like a plan.
Insurance used to be that way. I paid up front for the doctor and then I filed the paperwork with Blue Cross to get 80% of my money back. Was a heckuva lot cheaper then.
I’m betting the secret sauce is that once you get the illegals and the corporates both off the federal teat, there’s plenty to go around to make sure everyone else gets a reasonable standard of care.
Probably a full 5% of GDP goes to subsidizing people who should not be here in the first place.
We got Obamacare because we got Obama. The previous law worked well enough. What matters now is repealing Obamacare as quickly as possible. If we have to wait for them to create something new as they have suggested, it will never get done. We have to assume that we will only have 4 years and at least two of those will be spent dealing with contrived BS courtesy of the Democrats and the never Trumpers. We don’t have time to wait. We need to get it done NOW.
I disagree.
The GOP was in charge once. They did NOTHING to fix healthcare.
Obama created a mess, but he did something. We do not need to simply repeal Obamacare. We need to FIX OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
Everyone needs coverage. Everyone.
(Everyone who is legal, that is)
Trump’s tweets are driving the left crazy.
He can tweet all he wants.
