Protests will aim to disrupt Trump inauguration: organizers

Thousands of demonstrators are expected to turn out in Washington next week for protests aiming to "shut down" the inauguration of Donald Trump as the next U.S. president, organizers said on Thursday.

Protesters will attempt to close down 12 security checkpoints at the U.S. Capitol, where Trump will take the oath of office on Jan. 20, and along the 2.5-mile (4-km) parade route down Pennsylvania Avenue, according to leaders of a group called DisruptJ20.

"We want to shut down the inauguration," organizer David Thurston told a news conference. "We want to see a seething rebellion develop in this city and across the country."

A representative of the Trump transition team could not be immediately reached for comment, nor could a spokesman for the District of Columbia police.

This is what sniveling liberals do, they riot, they loot, and set fires. When did any conservative group behave in such a criminal manner?

Well, given today’s temps, they’re probably right.

But we’re in kind of a ‘bowl’ here, and it’s hard to predict.

The worst commute I ever had was on a day when mere ‘flurries’ were forecast, and it took me four hours to go about three miles, on three different buses.

If they want to see a “seething rebellion”; go ahead. You’ll get your “seething rebellion” and you won’t like it, not one damn bit!

Two words.

Rolling Thunder.

ANSWER, MoveON and all these Communist front groups need a good lesson in what happens to communists who want to hurt our country. I am tired of their antics which go unopposed.

I went down to see Rolling Thunder one Memorial day. It was very hot, and I was getting over a sickness, and couldn’t stay too long.

But I remember seeing all the glittering chrome in the sunlight, where the bikes were parked; and all the camaraderie.

We make a point of watching the take-off from the Pentagon on television every year.

I’m looking forward to seeing on TV the many-thousand bikers who likely will show up to “help” with security. Appreciate you guys (and gals)!

I recall a time when advocating a violent overthrow of our government could get you in hot water.

“After a deeply polarizing campaign, Trump’s surprise victory in the Nov. 8 election has inflamed passions across the political spectrum.”

Sigh. MORE fake news! the only part of the political spectrum with “inflamed passions” are the alt-left “progressive” losers.

Was at the 1969 Counter-Inaugural protests against Nixon. The communists controlled the whole event even though they let the Yippies “do their thing” (which was peaceful and funny. Jumping up and down nude in a large tent with a temperature of about 34* F and challenging the editor of “Realist” magazine to do the same WAS FUNNY).

Got some good photos of the commies and their dupes - Dave Dellinger using a wounded Vietnam vet; Phil Ochs singing.

Violence was at the VP celebration at the Smithsonian Institution. Rocks were thrown at police horses and officers.

However, most of the protestors were peaceful, and thankfully a number were stoned.

This new group of communists, black extremists and anarchist crazies are DANGEROUS and the police should take them out at the first signs of violence or they will spread it like a cancer a la Ferguson and Baltimore.

Believe me, I know these so-called protesters. Many are from the Revolutionary Communist Party (Rev.Org) - Maoists; Workers World Party fronts (IAC and ANSWER); Black Lives Matters affiliates, and the Black and Red Bloc Anarchists.

Throw in a few remaining Maoists from the Progressive Labor Party (psychoes and violent), the RCP’s VVAW crazies; and local affinity groups, and you have as violent a grouping of hate-America communists, racial extremists, environmental wackos, and anarchists as has been seen for many years.

The last time this grouping had a rally they trashed businesses (esp. large windows) in downtown DC and the police did literally nothing. In the old days, the Police knew who was in town and how to handle them (with some successful unless the Democrat mayor told them to stand down).

This time could be a very dangerous period for decent Americans who want to attend the Inauguration and related affairs.

I don’t have enough faith in the DC leadership and police to say that they can or will or want to handle what is coming down the pike. As for the FBI, they are crippled by a corrupt leadership. Local field offices might be able to cope successfully if properly led.

My old FBI friends (among the top 5 from the old days), would have been able to keep tabs on the rioters. Today, I’m not sure the Bureau leadership even knows who they are.

We will just have to wait and see.

Is that a herpes zoster or a syphilis chancre on Legba’s lip?

Looks like he makes bad decisions across the board.

I’ve been seeing posts from aged former hippie grandmas on Facebook joining the “Women’s March.” One changed her profile pic wearing a goofy pink knit hat she called her pussy hat. She said she made a bunch to hand out. I was going to respond if she was going to hand out cigars with the hats but since she isn’t a friend there was no option for me to leave a comment.
