In a tweet-tempest this morning, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has confirmed he opposes Sen. Jeff Sessions, President-elect Donald Trump's nominee to serve as attorney general.
As The Hill reports, Sessions has faced backlash over his record on civil rights since his nomination and throughout his Senate confirmation hearings this week.
The Senate in 1986 opposed appointing Sessions to a federal judgeship in part because of disparaging remarks he allegedly made about the NAACP and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). He strongly denied the accusations back then and again this week.
Critics also point to his prosecution of black voting rights activists for voter fraud and other civil rights concerns.
Schumer's dissent is not entirely surprising and will likely not be the last.

I’m also deeply concerned about immigrants, elderly, minorities and the LGBTQ community.
I’m concerned about Democrats using them as political pawns.

That should tell us how McStain’s wife will vote.
I think this still Leaves Tillerson viable with Pence’s vote.

I believe the dude from West Virginia who is up for re-election in 2018 has already said he'd vote for Sessions.
Trump is going to find that Democrats in "red" states are going to be more helpful to him than a lot of the pr!cks in the GOP.

Linda will vote the same way as McCain every time. So I assume there are 3 no votes + all the democrats will vote no. Trump should pull Sessions, Pompeo and Mattis and say it’s a package deal. See what the globalist say then
To: SeekAndFind
The Dems will vote however Schumer tells them to vote.
Shumer's "The Man With No Power".
To: SeekAndFind
They will all get around 75 votes. This is just fundraising theater.

Good comment.

Immigrants don’t have all of the same rights as a citizen. They have other responsibilities citizens don’t have, AND they can be deported more readily than a citizen. Citizens go to jail before they’re ever deported, or exiled.
The senator wants to insure that the social special favors are carried forward.
The disabled may or may not be citizens, but either way, they definitely need a break with regard to their ability to function in life. But they hold no special favors with regard to violating the law though they may be accommodated in prison if necessary.
It’s nice to see the roaches coming out from the woodwork. They can be identified and voted out if necessary. Considering that the constitution ties the hands of government somewhat, they could possibly do MORE damage in the private sector! 8-O

“Just heard on Rush.. McCain and Rubio will vote NO on Tillerson...I once thought that Rubio had promise... not so now.”
That means Linda is a no.

Schumer, Booker, Feinstein, Warren and Sanders will vote 'No' on Sessions ( as will the other NY senator, Gillebrand who simply follows Schumer's lead )...now joined by Richard Blumenthal.......If they were so
"Deeply Concerned" about Sen. Jeff Sessions, why did they support Hillary Clinton, cover up and look the other way...because the crooked, corrupt Hillary is one of theirs.
Jeff Sessions is being politicized by Chuck Schumer et al; Schumer is truly a clown...he promoted Hillary...they all promoted and looked the other way for HRC. Disgraceful!!!

Who else will you bet will vote similarly? I predict that the nominees for Attorney General, State, Treasury, Labor, Education, and Commerce all pass out of committee on strict party line votes.
