Someday, Bill O'Reilly may add to his list of historical books, which include Killing Kennedy and Killing the Rising Sun, the title Killing CNN.
It portends to be the chronicle of a vital turning point in American history, the death of the propaganda machine in our politics, and the resurgence of genuine journalism.
I have for some time now eschewed referring to most American news institutions as "mainstream media" and instead termed them what they are: the Ministry of Propaganda (MoP).
~SNIP~
For those who may find themselves uneasy at the possibility of official censorship, remind yourselves that what CNN is being censored for is not reporting, but lying. They actually accused Trump of hiring Russian prostitutes to urinate on a hotel bed where Obama had slept – and then, at the press conference, had the audacity to accuse him of being "improper" in his refusal to dignify their propaganda with a response.
Your time is over, CNN. Let your liberal cohorts in other parts of the propaganda machine take note. When you strike at Trump with lies, he will avenge the insult with that most terrifying of all weapons: truth. To paraphrase a famous Democrat president (FDR), you have nothing to fear but Trump himself. Well should you.

Exactly. They have freedom to say/print what they want. That does not entitled them to an audience, or a source.
My thoughts EXACTLY!
During this past election cycle, I had this very conversation with my wife (who HATED Clinton, but still disliked Trump). And I told her the exact same thing you just stated - almost verbatim!
I KNOW that Trump and I are not going to agree on everything, but if he gets the will and voice of the people on the ears and tongues of the elites in D.C., and gets the media to stop being so damn one-sided, then maybe we can right our ship.
Semper Fi, Marine!
For me, it’s the new book “Killing Ted Baxter”.
No. ‘Journalism’ of the sort practiced here involves a meme and the refusal to print/say anything that contradicts the meme.
Trump: sigh... Fine, what is it?
Jim Acosta, CNN: Are you still beating your wife?
Sean Spicer: Get out.
Jim Acosta, CNN: This treatment is inappropriate!

On a side note, “lb” is the abbreviation for “pound”, not “lesbian”.
There is no censorship. If there was, CNN and Buzzfeed would never publish their fake news. They have first amendment right to do so. But that has consequences, such as being labeled as fake news, as propaganda. While I wish President-elect Trump would revoke their press credentials, I suspect they offer an easy foil to show his anger or dismay at the media. Great daily reminder to Americans to not trust the media.
The Trump -CNN confrontation indicates a tremendous paradigm shift. CNN had the election called completely wrong, investing millions of dollars in creating fake facts. CNN was out of touch with the American people, instead the bought into a dream world created by the master psychopomp, Barrack Hussein Obama, and CNN are still not extricating themselves from their dream world.
Trump knows how to fight this battle, he fought them throughout his primary and throughout his campaign, winning all the way.
If CNN and others need a 3rd smack down , then Trump is willing to oblige....in public. Treat Donald Trump with disrespect, publish falsehood as fact in personal attack, and soon Trump will assure CNN will not even be a news organization, no matter how much money CNN spends.
False news, jingoistic propaganda is OUT. Get the message MSM? We are no loonger in the liberal fascist come Nazi era. That has ended.
If I were the chief executive officer of CNN, I would completely overhaul CNN news. Wolf Bitcher would be the first to go and I would go down the list getting rid of each and every news fabricator. The in house CNN fabricators have made CNN look so completely unreliable, so ridiculously inaccurate, people do not want to listen to them anymore.I unsubscribed from their cable feed.So will millions of others.
I think there’s some sort of silly deal where the press association names and assigns seats to the official WH reporters. But that could be changed. Also Trump could well never call on an entity he doesn’t choose to call on.
But the boorishness was part of the vessel that reached “the people” who don’t so regularly vote—or regularly vote Republican.
The aesthetic disappointment is a small price to pay for restoring our republic.
Wonder if the word should have been censured.
I think there is no doubt in my mind, that Acosta was going to ask the following question:
“Mr Trump, can you say categorically that you did not hire prostitutes or urinate in a hotel bed that Obama was scheduled to use?” or something of that nature.
This would be like asking someone in office during a press conference, “Are you still beating your wife?” When you were rumored to, but there was no proof you were.
I think Trump would be smart to put these people aside, and start fielding questions from lesser known press people and outlets.
We know now, though, that Bush was merely a tool of the elites.
The Bushes are the enemy of freedom.
Trump reminds me so much of Old Hickory, Andrew Jackson - one of the few good Democrats in history.
I don’t mind CNN....as long as they identify themselves as left wing activists and not news or journalists.
Is this a joke?
The whole story is a fantasy fabricated by an internet group, 4chan, put out to troll RINOs, picked up by a washed up M6 player who hasn’t been to Russia since 1986, who now has a political research company with 2 employees and a very small yearly gross. He packaged the bones of the 4chan story, spiced it up slightly and gave it to the never-Trump people who paid him for it.
McCain, the “war hero” spread it where and when he though it could do the most damage. And you think every detail is worth vetting after the whole tissue is exposed as lies and a plant? You are doing the enemy’s work keeping this disinformation alive to tarnish Trump and fracture the growing bonds between Trump and the American people.
No. Journalism of the sort practiced here involves a meme and the refusal to print/say anything that contradicts the meme.If you restrict your attention, as genuine journalism does, to what is unusual you thereby restrict your attention almost exclusively to the negative. That produces media bias.
I dont deny that - but I do explain how the meme comes to dominate journalism.Journalism is negative - negative to, and past, the point of cynicism - towards society. And journalism takes its political influence for granted - and is shocked when Republicans win despite their efforts. Thus, journalism is cynically negative toward society, and naively positive towards government.
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher. To equate government' with society is to equate an evil (however necessary) with a 'blessing. Socialists love to speak of society (scare quotes intended) when they mean nothing other than government. They do so to insinuate that government is a blessing. And to prevent people from thinking about the actual blessing which is society as distinct from government.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one . . . were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform and irresistibly obeyed, man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do by the same prudence which in every other case advises him, out of two evils to choose the least. - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)
They’re still not censored. He’d be right to sue them, but that’s not censorship, either. I don’t think a secret service agent on duty would allow him to get off the dais and punch that twerp in the nose, or step aside while they both mix it up by mutual consent, but the little CNN snowflake should count himself lucky.
Drive a stake thru CNN’s Heart!
American haters !!
.@CNN is in a total meltdown with their FAKE NEWS because their ratings are tanking since election and their credibility will soon be gone!
