We have wind out of the south that’s been roaring since last night. I keep thinking a train is passing by (the tracks are close by) but nope. Just wind.
Warm enough no snuggling with a body pillow is necessary but putting it over one’s head to stifle the racket is pretty much a must. 8-0

74? 78?!! I’d like that. It’s 28 right now going down to 24 with a 40 mph wind. At least the power is holding up. (Knock on wood.)

You manage to find them. :-)
Mmmmmm, 74 degrees sounds niiiiiice. We made it up to 54 this afternoon but with the wind blowing so hard, it was right chilly outside. Our temps will be in the 60s for the next week except Friday, which will be in the mid 50s. We can live with that without complaining. :-)

It says, I am Spring, and that I am a poet—got that right.
To: radu
Hi radu!
Still cold but warm enough for humongous, deadly looking icicles to form on the roof eaves before it freezes again tonight.
We got another inch of snow last night, so I was out shoveling it before it froze.
Didn't go anywhere today, just hunkered down.
I have several errands to run tomorrow, the roads should be plowed by then.

This is what I made today.
PASTAFAZOOL (PASTA CON FAGIOLI)
2 can white kidney beans (cannelini)
egg noodles
1/4 medium onion
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp water
salt
pepper
garlic powder
sugar
grated Romano
Break the egg noodles into 1 inch pieces. Plunge into boiling water, and cook according to the instructions on the package.
Saute the onion in oil and discard. Put the tomato paste and water in skillet and stir. Put the beans in the skillet, mash some of them, add the spices and heat.
Strain the noodles, and add to the beans. Add 1 cup pasta water.

I got done with everything early this evening, for a change.
And I’m probably more surprised than anyone about beating PRO to the punch. LOL!

Oh, goodness, I hope you don’t lose power in that cold! You’d need more than a body pillow! Hope you have plenty of blankets and/or quilts. I find that quilts are about the warmest cover there is!

OUCH! 28 degrees with those winds has to be a misery. Our winds are about the same as your and they made 54 degrees feel almost frigid.
I hope no trees drop limbs on power lines up there! You keep knocking on wood and I’ll keep all appendages crossed. Maybe that’ll be enough luck drummed up. :-)

Your Soul Is Connected to the Spring |
You are an optimistic, eternally hopeful person. No matter how dark things get, you always see the light. You are open-minded and always up for a fresh outlook on life. You don't cling to ideas or beliefs.
You are sweet hearted and have good intentions. Even though you've seen a lot in life, you remain innocent. People see you as playful and even a bit airy. You feel free to be yourself, and that's a beautiful thing. |
