Facebook on Thursday refused to respond to mounting questions over its apparent failure to take down a live broadcast of the brutal attack of a young man with disabilities in Chicago.
Wednesdays Facebook Live video showing a man bound, gagged and cut with a knife amid shouts of fuck Donald Trump undermines the companys efforts to market the tool.
For the last few months, Facebook has been running a multimedia advertising campaign encouraging users to try its video live-streaming product.

I’m glad it wasn’t
As horrific as it was it was something that needed to be seen - especially by lie-berals
Facebook was notified pretty quickly and a generic response was sent that there was nothing offensive in the video.A few people reported it that very evening and have gone vocal about it.
They didn’t take it down because they knew it was not a hate crime.
Doesn't Facebook have the same ability to report a crime as the people reporting it to Facebook?
So.. people cried to Facebook instead of the cops.. and didn't get a response from the cops?
Well, duh...
Do you know how long the video stayed up?
I do know the torture was interrupted when a neighbor complained. They went to kick in the door of the neighbor and victim escaped.
Perhaps you live in Facebook land where Facebook is recognized as a law enforcement authority.
Do you have Facebook on speed-dial in case you have a crime erupt?
Are there "Like" buttons for stuff like that?
Pamela Geller posted a FB response to a complaint against the video and it basically said that the video didn’t meet FB standards of offensive.
Given the fact they can police pro-Trump, pro-Police, pro-Christian, and anything else even vaguely Conservative, that line of reasoning is completely bogus.
They care about anything that agrees with the fascist globalist agenda or that they can shrug off as "different cultures, different values" later.
If they get enough complaints they'll shrug and eventually may remove it. Otherwise, any sort of slander and/or abuse that targets Conservatives or White Folks is fine with them.
They have their priorities.............
Mostly the first category, some of the second.
Like you, I’m glad the evidence was there. Might make it harder for that vermin to get away with it.
The Facebook Cops were slow to respond...
Make sure Facebook is the first contact you make in an emergency.
In any emergency, dial F-A-C-E-B-O-O-K
Hate to say it, but I agree with you.
The last thing I want to do is defend facebook but if it had been removed no one would know. No one would be aware of what the Chicago pd are calling a battery charge. No one would ask what about kidknapping. No one would ask what about the assault with a deadly weapon or if there is a difference between battery and torture. No one would know the racial motivations. Yeah if it could be swept under a rug it would be. Now we need to make sure these people are charged correctly. That isn’t just a battery charge. If need be we need to use the successful methods blm introduced us to for seeking justice. Most of all we need every single decent human of any race to know exactly what happened. I wouldn’t be surprised if facebook intentionally left it up in an effort to support such actions but this time I’m glad they did.
mark Zuckerberg is trying to repair his image so he can get into politics. the democrats have no bench for a presidential run currently and him saying he is religious is all about becoming electable in a national election.
First I don’t care for your opinion on this at all. Maybe you are on the wrong forum. Yes facebook could have contacted the police and if it is proven they were aware and did nothing this kid and his family should own it. Other hand they may have reported it. Either way your response is trollish at best here.
