(snipped and excerpted)
A misunderstanding that barred six state Department of Corrections officers Tuesday from having lunch at the new Cheesecake Factory in Tacoma has been resolved.
By Wednesday morning, the Cheesecake Factorys corporate office reached out to the state Department of Corrections and the six involved officers to apologize and assure them that law enforcement is indeed welcome in the chains restaurants.
Apparently a shift manager misunderstood or miscommunicated the policy about law enforcement having service weapons on the premises.
Excerpted due to non-caffienation and laziness.
There was no “misunderstanding”.
Did the apology include retraining? If not, it’s not worth crap...
Agreed! All this is about is the unfavorable publicity.
Apparently, per TCF, the policy that allows unifored LEOs to carry does NOT apply to plainclothes. I’m just not going to patronize TCF. I’m worried about bad guys, not coos, because criminals don’t give a damn about TCF’s policy.
No misunderstanding WHAT SO EVER.

“Miscommunication” - sure...
No sale.
Misleading headline.
When I carry concealed I haven’t a clue what policy an establishment has, nor do I care. If I want to I go in.
Shift managers make $10hr and were rejected by TSA. Not the brightest.
Just an excuse to treat our law enforcement officers like crap. I’m beyond sick of this.
Make no mistake: these marxist bastards and their ilk would, given half a chance, destroy our Constitution and all it stands for.
I didn't read the linked article and don't need to. I call total BS. The shift manager is a snowflake or is black...or both...and made the decision to throw his weight around. Now his bosses have to cover their arses. But it's Washington state so what else is to be expected?
F’em
I do the opposite. If I see a No-Gun sticker when going into an establishment, I leave. If they don’t want my $$$, that’s their choice...
Yeah riiiiiight......................
I, for one, will never go to a Tacoma Cheese cake factory
Too little too late. But, tacoma................. They’re just so, so, what’s the word......progressive. Yeah that’s it. So, if a ‘situation’ were to occur at this location requiring police intervention, will the manager tell the responders they must leave their weapons outside? Even if the perpetrator of the ‘situation’ is armed? Lucky for the snowflakes there are those out in the world who are willing to place themselves in harms way to help prevent snowflakes melting. Idiots.
What a load of B.S.!
