Final vote tallies from the November 8 election show that Democrat Hillary Clinton out-polled President-elect Donald Trump by 2.8 million votes while losing the contest by a wide margin in the all-important Electoral College.

Her upper hand with voters, however, came down to performances in New York and California that were far stronger than necessary.

Clinton won California by 4.2 million and took New York by more than 1.6 million. The combined 5.8 million-vote advantage in just those two states was more than twice the size of her overall edge nationwide.

When the dust settled, she lost the rest of the country by 3 million votes.

Not sure this was her spending money there or the fact DJT didn’t show his face ONE time after he had the nomination.
He could’ve campaigned in the more conservative areas to get out the vote or to help local R’s but they didn’t want him to come near them, and he knew Cali was lost so why bother wasting his own money.

"Get rid of the Electoral College and these two states will dominate the other 48."

This is what the left wants that's why they're screaming to replace the EC with a popular vote.

I can guarantee you Clinton won CA. because of NON CITIZENS voting illegally!!!! Before ANYONE attempts to EVER change to popular vote I would DEMAND all voting in CA. & NY. be audited by outside sources middle America would be aghast with the illegals voting in this country!!!

It's worse than that. I just posted this on another thread,

There are now more registered voters in California than the population of 46 states

Well she probably won Cali with the legal citizens but definitely not by this margin.

Does this even add up really? Registered, but are the legal citizens?
Cali is a globalist wet dream. This is what they’re trying to do to the entire country in order to be overlords.

If they dig into the fraud, which they won’t it will be reviled that she lost that too, but it’s a waste of time for Trump to pursue.

I disagree 100%. It is far past time that someone address voter fraud vigorously. Without it, the GOP would have a larger majority in the Senate and House. I am fed up with their lying crap of “every vote counts” when their illegal activities erase my vote and yours. If every vote counted they would not disenfranchise voters in rural areas of states with paid voters who are brought in by bus around urban areas.

Every time I see Al Franken I realize he got there by fraud and it makes me angry. There are more than enough “Wisconsin” voters casting ballots in Minnesota and vice versa. They have played this game for years and it MUST stop. There are too many “non-profit” organizations impacting elections through fraud. Put a few people in jail and most of this will stop, but nobody has the stones to do it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this ain’t happening without a majority of smaller states voting to make themselves irrelevant in national elections. I am certain that will not happen so until then, it’s just noise being used to undermine Trump with stupid people.

Yes, it needs to be addressed. Especially Cali.

“Dunno about NY”

Clinton 58.8% - Trump 37.5%

Hillary won 17 counties, 5 of which she took 60% or more of the vote.

New York City killed us with NY Co. 87.2-10, Bronx 88.7-9.6, Queens 75.5-22

Trump won 45 counties, 17 of which he took 60% or more of the vote.

The state’s county electoral map is a sea of red.

What you’re saying is that if Trump had lost, it really would have been because Mexico “hacked the election” (to misuse the phrase). Interesting, and, I believe, true. No one else is saying that. Kudos

Thanks for the kudos. It is important to counter the "Russian hacking" myth by pointing out that the Mexicans used online registration to pose as Americans and influence the election. While the Republicans are busy defending against the "Russian hacking" myth, the Mexicans will continue to register for the next election.

As regards the subject of Russian interference in the politics of other countries, note that in recent decades they have only achieved some level of success when the target is nearby (e.g., Georgia, Estonia, Ukraine). We should thank the Democrats for pointing out the dangers of election meddling by an unfriendly neighbor and take steps to bolster national security. This would include requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote in a border state (and of course, voter ID).

Shutting down online registration and voiding old registrations should be part of building the wall.

I'm curious about those tally numbers

My spreadsheet of all 50 state vote tallies does not match the prevailing numbers. Maybe someone has also built a sheet I can match against?

my numbers come out as:
Trump -------- 61,696,067 ---- 47.73%
Hillary ------- 61,100,644 ----- 47.27%
All others ----- 6,460,493 ----- 5.00%
Total votes -- 129,257,204 --- 100.00%

Clearly Trump has the Majority of the popular vote.

Check the net for final numbers that were due 12-20-16.

Here’s one.

According to the independent, non-partisan Cook Political Report, Clinton’s final tally came
in at 65,844,610, compared to Donald Trump’s 62,979,636, with a difference of 2,864,974.
The total number of votes for other candidates was 7,804,213.

I used numbers from Poliotico’s 2016 results pages the night before I posted. Then I verified them against numbers on RealClear Politics. Since they all matched I thought they should be correct
