Now that Trump has won everyone we can relax. There's nothing to do now but enjoy the holidays and wait for the inauguration and then enjoy Trumps presidency. This freeper is going to take a break from the Free Republic for a couple of months. There's no reason to come on here and read all the stories about the lefties and how they're going to do this and that which will only come to no end. It's all just fake news and causes worry and stress. Go ahead check out for a couple months like me enjoy life relish the victory spend some time with your family and forget about all this nonsense. Freeper out...

Actually I did just that after the 2008 and 2012 elections. I took a "sabbatical" from Free Republic and other social media for a while, only checking in from time to time in mostly lurking mode.

Both times I was very upset about the election results but unlike the snowflakes of today, I did not stamp my feet, cry out in anguish and demand that the election somehow be overturned. Instead, I put my mind to productive use during my social media downtime. I tackled my stack of unread books. I listed to new music to and from work instead of news/talk radio and added to my music collection. I took longer hikes with my dog on weekends. Both times, I came out of that period refreshed and recharged.

I recommend the same for the butt-hurt snowflakes of today. I dealt with it while they had their eight years of "hope 'n' change" and now it's time for them to step aside and let us have our eight years (or more) of making America great again.

This year I am going to savor every moment and the Christmas season is going to be so much more enjoyable.

After the inauguration is when the battle begins. That is when the attacks and lies from the media, Establishment Republicans such as John McCain, his girlfriend Linda, a/k/a Lindsey Graham, etal., and the Democrats will begin in earnest. Evil never takes a break or never rests. If you think that once Donald assumes the Presidency that it is over, you are in for a rude awakening.
