Public Schools: Not Education, but Social Engineering

Whenever we recall Book VII of Plato's Republic, the "Allegory of the Cave" that many of us studied in college, we remember that the chained population in the cave was always looking at shadows on the wall of the cave and mistakenly believed that those shadows were reality. Shadows of unreality are being reflected today by the policies and practices of many school systems. Vague talk about improving our schools, becoming more competitive globally, and opening doors of opportunity becomes rubrics that express "shadows" of the reality that managers of education are in fact implementing progressive – i.e., totalitarian – social engineering.

The implementation of this social engineering is closely tied to getting non-educators and inexperienced educators into the schools as teachers and administrators and getting older, experienced teachers and administrators out. These younger individuals will not have the deep inculcation of educational values, those values of learning and of relationship established at the nexus of humanism and Judeo-Christian values. They are persons who do not see and do not wish to see that curricular innovation, creativity, knowledge, teacher morale, school tone, the family of man, student character building, and caring and love of all for all (said list can be summed up as "the pursuit of happiness") are in direct opposition to and are the antidote for the social engineering agenda now sweeping the country.

I can’t claim to be an expert on the history of education, but it seems to me that Sputnik caused things to change. My impression is that education in the US was really very good up through the 40s and 50s. Kids could do math, they had nice penmanship, they could read and write well. Greek had gone out of fashion, but many kids still took Latin. The public schools were (mostly) delivering a quality education to the majority of kids.

Then the Russians launched Sputnik.

America panicked. We were losing the space race! The commies were beating us! All of a sudden, “experts” appeared with lots of whiz bang ideas for the schools. We got “New Math” which no one understood. We dropped Latin. We dropped Phonics. We changed History into Social Studies. Everything became about social engineering. Shop went away. Home Economics went away.

And here we are. Schools are just for social engineering, few people get a decent education from government schools, AND we have no space program.

All schools are overrun with “change agents” - they’re called "children.” And the legitimate purpose of education is to pass on to them wisdom from the past, precisely for the purpose of empowering them to critique ideas with some perspective.

Yep, you’re correct. My bad. Stop, Drop and Roll was another bit of elementary school instruction regarding one’s clothes being caught on fire and what to do about that unfortunate situation.

Duck and Cover is a civil defense social guidance film that is often popularly mischaracterized as propaganda.

Film production started in 1951 and it gained its first public screening in January 1952 during the era after the Soviet Union began nuclear testing in 1949 and the Korean War (1950–53) was in full swing.

Funded by the US Federal Civil Defense Administration, it was written by Raymond J. Mauer, directed by Anthony Rizzo of Archer Productions, narrated by actor Robert Middleton and made with the help of schoolchildren from New York City and Astoria, New York.

It was shown in schools as the cornerstone of the government’s “duck and cover” public awareness campaign, being aired to generations of United States school children from the early 1950s until 1991, which marked the end of the Cold War.

The change began when we imported all the Communists in the 30s and gave them positions at the Ivy league schools. They controlled the writing of curricula/textbooks from then on and it was only a miracle that we lasted until the 60s, mainly because we had “local” control of education, mothers raised their children until 6 at least so common sense existed. There was no “education” major back then (a worthless degree). People had to graduate in an area where they had to “know” science and math, etc. But then “evolution” (moral relativism) was stuck into the curricula by the Marxists to destroy Objective Truth (understanding of Reality/Truth (God)). (It was the Postmodernists “God is Dead” atheist group/Fabian socialists, Freemasons) who created curricula to destroy Christian worldview. By 60s, they literally banned Christianity from all schools, so that Satanism could be the ideology/theology promoted into the children (to make them evil so they would self-destruct (be controlled by emotions only).

Without God, everything is permissible. There is no Good and Evil. Now, Cicero stated thousands of years ago that Wisdom is being able to discern Good and Evil. We no longer can even tell if a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl-—that is how brainwashed and removed from Reality we have become—just imbeciles.

Why? The Marxists when they infiltrated all our institutions (that’s what Marxists do)-—they destroyed the Classical Christian Curricula and inserted a Marxists Lens on ALL subjects-—to destroy Truth (God) and inject irrationality (only emotions control everything—ideologies).

The Age of Reason is only because of Common Sense (Reality/God’s Design of the universe gave us Mathematics and Design/Cause and Effect—without it we have no ability to “think” critically. Christianity gave us Free Will and individualism—the ability to think for ourselves like the Greek Masters.

The Marxists filtrated everything after WWII when Prescott Bush was money-laundering Nazis money and made himself filthy wealthy as they brought in all the Nazis scientists/PhDs to infiltrate all areas of Psychology, etc., so they could literally flip 2000 years of ethics where Up is Down and Vice is Virtue.

They controlled the Language to destroy the meaning of words in our Legal system since evil Holmes and the Marxists infiltrated the Supreme Court in the 20s and even before.’

The Fabian Socialists (communists/Freemasons) were the Jekyll Island group who took over the banks, and then, the cultures of the West. It is all a 200 year plan which Fichte explained in 1810——got to destroy Free Will in the children by “schooling” them (brainwashing) to believe “snow is black” so they remain irrational (tribal minds/group-think only) for life.

It is all for the NWO-—to make slaves of all mankind (dumb, ignorant cattle who can know nothing except what the MSM/Schools tell them. They will be incapable of Free Will (Fichte) and thinking critically-—”minds” just like animals—like the obamaphone lady—happy with crumbs from the elites.

Good points. Yes I took Latin, it is one of the building blocks of our language before we began being a ESL centered country. We did not have calculators, we had slide rules. (watching the reruns of Apollo 13 recently I noted the engineers using them to calculate the return trajectory and laughed). American History, actually back to the pre formation of the country not beginning in 1865, western civilization (oh would that be racist today). Real Economics.
Albeit it was in the early 60s, my school and perhaps state required 2 years of language, 3 years of math (2 years of algebra and geometry) and four years of english/literature/ 4 years of history and two years of science (biology, chemistry, physics or general science) and 3 elective units from Geography/mechanical drawing/typing and/or more from the prior listed areas like another language, Trig or calculus) to graduate. Perhaps that is why historically 90% went on to college. This was a PUBLIC school. One of my history teachers even invited his relative George Kennon to address his students in the classroom. Kennon had been instrumental in US foreign policy after WWII. Frankly to a 15yo politically naive boy, that was quite impressive.

That’s what happened. Doesn’t stop these “graduates” who are in debt $200K from railing against true history, mostly because they have need to justify their foolishness shown by their owing $200,000 to a “university”.

Yes...we were CHALLENGED when we were in school. (We must be near same age). ..I took Latin and French, Chemistry as well as algebra, history, etc. Also, you did not go off campus during the day.

Those who graduate from college with degrees in education have some of the lowest IQs.

Some of those IQs are so low that the students shouldn’t even be admitted to college.

As I’ve noted this 100x here on FR, this was all planned in detail by the Russians & communists here during and prior to WWII. My mother was a typist for the FBI in WWII and saw it all and typed it all.

I knew their plan to take over our whole educational system and media from about the age of 10. The John Birchers had it mostly right.

Our victories will only be tactical ones until someone figures out how to remove the Marxist/atheists from brainwashing generation after generation of our youth. To date, I have not heard a solution from anyone.

Homeschooling is a tool (we did it before it was cool), but not the weapon that will win the war.

And as long as the Marxists are brainwashing our youth and controlling media, we will never get our country back for the long haul.

News TRUTH sites like FR are a big help, but the brainwashed masses will always reject them and depend on Marxist media......

BINGO! Say it loud and say it often. Public schools are failures when it comes to the basics, reading writing arithmetic, geography and history.

But boy do they excel at brainwashing young skulls full of mush, turning them into walking talking leftist zombies. It is the same the cult effect seen in Scientologists who seek young impressionable victims. They lure them with visions of becoming “perfected spiritual beings who will help save the planet.

After a few years of indoctrination they become dependent upon the cult for their identities and livelihoods. It is nearly impossible to break away.

I know Trump is on this based on his choice of Education appointment.
