$35 a month for more than 100 live streaming television channels.

Make it a la carte at $2 a channel.

You can pay for a three month trail 35 a month(100 channels) and get Apple TV for free

There good channels not the crap Im getting from Frontier

You can get a seven day free trail

Rush was talking about this

No contract month to month

There will be bugs they just started it

I figure I have nothing to lose

Needed a new Apple Tv

With Spectrum, you can use your Roku to get their channels.

I have Frontier and it sucks that I have to pay for a converter box every month, it would be nice to be able to do away with the need for converter boxes.

I am trying it out right now. The price is a great deal, but it is far from ready for prime time. I recommend reading the DirecTV Now forums before you make the leap. With that said, I am not tossing it yet. I want to give them a chance to work out the kinks. The $35 a month plan is only good until you change plans, so quitting before I give it some time might be a bad move.

Looked into this over the weekend.

Pro: You can “lock in the $60 (Go Big) package for $35/month indefinitely and if you pre-pay for 3 months ($105 + tax) you are gifted the 32 GB Apple TV unit.
You can stream on 2 devices with 1 account
If you have AT&T as your cell phone provider, streamed tv over this service does NOT count towards your data cap.
There is NO contract
You can add HBO, Cinemax or other premium channels for $5/month
You have a 72 hour rewind capability

Con: This is LIVE TV in your zip code
Pausing does NOT work at this time. You are alive or you are not watching TV
You cannot record shows at this time (future software update)
If you have standalone channel apps, at present the only way to see these channels is through the DirectTV Now app

IMHO. Great deal. We are dropping our $98/month Dishnetwork bill and getting pretty much everything (except the DVR capabilities) for $35/month. I am confident that the DVR capabilities will come in future updates. As is, this is by far the best live streaming system out there. Add Hulu and you have no real need for DVR capabilities. Except for Big Bang Theory. And is that worth $60/month extra?

I would suggest adding Hulu to this package for a near perfect online solution.

Still pushing yesterday’s business model: ad-supported linear “channels” that broadcast on their schedules and convenience, not yours. Sorry, not going to fly in the 21st century. At best they’ll cannibalize some of their existing Dish customers who just want a better deal than their current overpriced subscriptions.

I’ve been cable free for over 10 years. The absolute only thing I miss is Turner Classic Movies. Anyone know of a substitute or a way to get TCM without cable?

This is a rip-off.

I have Roku 3, and I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I pay only $20/month (I don't count my Prime subscription because that's annually) and get all the entertainment I need. The rest of my channels I can get for free.

I stopped watching TV four years ago. I don’t even own a TV, now. I’ve seen one movie in the last year because I thought it was important for my 19-year-old daughter to see ‘13 Hours’.

I hear a lot of people complain about liberal Hollywood, but they never put their money where their mouth is. If you think your giving less to Hollywood because you’re a cord-cutter, you’re wrong.

Honestly, between books, the radio, podcasts, YouTube, and the internet in general, there is more than enough to do without paying for liberal ideas to be pumped into your head. Most of us don’t realize how desensitized we become when we watch TV. I didn’t realize until about a year ago when I was at a friends house and someone was watching NCIS, a show I used to like. I literally couldn’t handle what was being presented in the show.

If you’re going to cut the cord, do it right. It’s just a drug. It’s just an addiction. There is help. Log in to FreeRepublic, and break the chains that bind your mind.

I’d much prefer they get their crooked ripoff billing computer fixed - first. A more corrupt outfit is hard to find (outside of the DNC or Clinton “foundation” or SorozNazi)

KlowdTV, for $8/month, includes OANN and a few other channels. I just got it today (I purchased the OANN App a few weeks ago and I like their News Network. The KlowdTV App includes OANN a few other channels).
