In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric, Edward Snowden says that former CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus under consideration to be President-elect Donald Trumps secretary of state disclosed information that was far more highly classified than I ever did and yet never spent a single day in jail.

Nevertheless, this is just one example of the articles that would appear over and over again should Petraeus be appointed to anything.
But Petraeus only disclosed them to his girlfriend, who did not tell anyone else, whereas Snowden published to the world.
I am not a fan of the Petraeus potential appointment. But if this were to happen it would be a great opportunity to get the Dems to scream and yell, only to dig Hillary’s hole even bigger.
Snowden, keep screaming!
Then, ran away to Russia, and gave them more info! No comparison between them, IMO.
He didn’t dump them to the press. He revealed them to his biographer who had a clearance as an intel officer as I recall.
When we had the most senior intelligence official in the United States, Gen. James Clapper, who lied to the American people and all of Congress on camera, under oath, in the Senate, in a famous exchange with Ron Wyden, he wasnt even charged, Snowden said. But giving false testimony to Congress under oath, as he did, is a felony. Its typically punished by three to five years in prison.
Who was doing research for her book. Good judgement?
Does "far more" refer to quantity or quality? One document at a higher classification level than Snowden released to one person would make this true. Misleading, but true.
Hellary sold more than both of them put together.
Snowden doesn't say. My best guess is that he as angling for a pardon here, or some sort of deal where he gets probation.
After all, Petraeus was worse!
He’s a nation building globalist...the scandal is just icing on the cake
Having a TS doesn’t give you access to everything TS! You violate “special access” rules you have still have violated the law. Just because Broadwell was trained to be an Intel officer doesn’t mean she had a right to see the information. If I remember correctly she was there to write Petraeus’s biography. (Which I think is very odd!) So she was not there to act as an Intel officer! In that capacity it’s hard to imagine why she had any right to any Intel. If it was done because she was hanging around Afghan Command HQ all day and it was easier to keep her TS etc active then actually enforce security rules then they have a bigger security problem there then just Broadwell & Petraeus.
Petraeus didn’t seem to be aware he was stepping over any lines and didn’t feel the need to flee....he did wrong but Snowden, much as I’m glad he did what he did, was fully aware that he was shaking the hornet nest.
Snowden gave away the crown jewels of intelligence: Sources and methods. If not actual names, he put people in danger.
“But Petraeus only disclosed them to his girlfriend, who did not tell anyone else, whereas Snowden published to the world”
His girlfriend who ALSO had a security clearance

Can’t disagree but he also exposed what the government is doing to the People - there wasn’t much of a graceful way to do it. An argument can be made on either side of “Keep the People in the dark about government treachery” or “Make the People aware even though it may have some sad costs” - how does one decide when there is no way to both make us aware and protect the assets?
Betraeus needs to just go away. Giving illegal access to classified information is a crime. To give him a pass on this is wrong IMHO.
Snowden ....yer going to jail eventually. Your motives may have been good but your methods were criminal.
My opinion.
Well, Petraeus didn’t walk away from his post and defect to the known enemy.
