Plaintiffs withdraw recount/contest. It's over.
280
BUT HE WILL GET WI AND MI AND PA
I keep telling you people and some of you don’t listen.
The state legislators select the slate of electors NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN THESE FRIGGIN COUNTS.
TRUMP IS PRESIDENT, HE’S BEEN PRESIDENT SINCE NOV. 8.
Nothing is “going on” in FL.
FL is locked. The election is locked.
Don’t you guys get it? It’s over. Trump won. Now find something else to worry about.
Seriesly, some simply aren't happy without a conspiracy/catastrophe to monger.
Breaking: Green Party withdraws PA recount demand

Looks like Jill Stein has run out of cash. CBS Pittsburgh affiliate reports that the Green Party cant raise the $1 million bond for the Pennsylvania recount, and has withdrawn their demand. And with that, the election is well and truly over:
The Green Party is dropping its court case seeking a recount of Pennsylvanias Nov. 8 presidential election. It had wanted to explore whether voting machines and systems had been hacked and the election result manipulated.
The Green Partys filing came Saturday, saying it couldnt afford the $1 million bond the court had set. A Commonwealth Court hearing had been scheduled in the case for Monday, and the $1 million bond was due later that day.
Pennsylvania was by far the toughest state for the recall, with a final gap of around 56,000 votes. There was no chance that a recount would even come within an order of magnitude of that gap, but the Stein campaign had insisted that the Keystone State still needed to do a hand recount of every ballot.
That ends the campaign. Without taking Pennsylvania off the Electoral College table, Trump cant lose. Even if Stein manages to force the electors from Wisconsin and Michigan to miss the safe-harbor deadline and the Electoral College on December 19th by tying up both states in useless recounting, Trump still has 280 electors and a clear victory.
Even with that, though, Wisconsin looks like its well on its way to finishing its recount on time. Its Day 3 results show that almost a third of Wisconsin precincts have completed their recounts, accounting for over 705,000 of the 2.975 million ballots cast in the presidential race. The net change has been to find 349 additional votes. Trump has gained 138 votes and Hillary Clinton 126, which means that Trump has extended his lead by 12 points. Thats, er, not exactly what Stein promised donors who coughed up millions for this stupid and futile gesture.
Update: The court in Pennsylvania has put an exclamation point on the subject of recounts:
AND NOW, this 3rd day of December, 2016, Petitioners having filed a Praecipe to Discontinue and Withdraw the above-captioned matter, the hearing scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. is CANCELLED, and the Chief Clerk is directed to mark this matter CLOSED.
Thatll do it.

That deadline is passed. The recounts going on in specific precincts were voter initiated not stein.
oh that’s priceless!!
“Maybe theyve managed to flip enough electors that the recounts are moot.”
Take that crap & flush it where FUD belongs.
Trump won. Get used to it.
Well GOOD! Maybe now all this foolishness will end. Someone cue the graphic about the five stages of grief and insert something for the “4th stage.”
It’s just about time to panic over the mid-terms...can’t wait!
These didn’t come from a recount. These were absentee and provisionals finally added to the total for the first time.
Good one!
Neither the statewide challenge, nor the precinct challenges are recounts. They are contested elections. The candidate herself has no standing in a district contest. A district contest must be filed with the local judge of elections or election board by three voters from the district.
A statewide contest may be filed by the candidate. It has to be filed in the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, or the PA Supreme Court. It must present a prima facie case that there was fraud or such widespread irregularity that the result of the election is in doubt.
Stein knew perfectly well that she could not make a case; in fact, the Montgomery County judge that threw out her request in 78 districts in his County cited the Pennsylvania Constitution and the prima facie requirement.
The evidentiary standard requires an affidavit and testimony under penalty of perjury. Stein surely knew her fishing expedition was doomed and wanted to hold onto the cash.
WTH are you talking about? I agreed with you and even thanked you for refreshing my memory about Montgomery. Then I went on to suggest that Otter and Philly.com could just be flakes or whatever. Could my response have been worded better? Sure. But chill ... like we do in Texas.
Good!
So then. For remaining 2.22M votes remaining, for them to find the necc. 23,000 to flip, the rate-of-change has to be 20X the current rate of change (349)
Where did you see anything about Roque De La Fuente filing in Florida? Can you provide a link to it if possible?
I’m celebrating Christmas tonight through the 25th. Great start to December.
Clear and convincing. Thanks.
It’s heartening to see an exchange of posts from Freepers who are schooled in the classics.
Twitter has said many false things, but someone from Pa. says it is being reported on TV there. Nothing against you, so do not take it personally. Just so much BS out there, including from the mainstream press. The key is to wait until it is being reported everywhere.
