ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. -- They've been in classrooms for decades, but two classic American novels are now temporarily banned from Accomack County Public Schools.
Use of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and “To Kill a Mockingbird” were suspended after a parent raised concerns about their use of the N-word.
“There's so much racial slurs and defensive wording in there that you can't get past that,” the mother said during last month’s school board meeting. “Right now, we are a nation divided as it is."
She filed a complaint through a “Request for Reconsideration of Learning Resources” form.

I read every Mark Twain book I could get ahold of back in 4th or 5th grade.
Steve Bannon probably read these two books. Thus, proving he is a White Nationalist Supremacist Aryan Nation Anti-Semite Anti-Dentite and all-around HATER.

The Board publishes the meeting minutes from the last board meeting at the current meeting.

Oh yeah, not tto mention our Civil war statues and honored Confederate grounds, the defiling of those needs to end NOW.

And I intend my children to read them all.
Classic novels sympathetic to blacks banned in schools for historically accurate use of “n” word, but no one complains when rappers repeatedly use “n” word and obscenities at White House performances and Clinton rallies.
The people who want to ban these novels probably love rap music with its constant use of the “n” word, obscenities, and misogynistic language.
Both novels are models of seeing a person for who he IS, not the color of their skin.
Huckleberry Finn was especially poignant in that regard, as he drifted down the mighty river with Jim.
Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) is laughing from beyond the grave. Dead over a 100 years, and he’s still stirring up trouble.

Thankfully the LGBTs have not gone after Victorian novels that use faggots to describe a bundle of kindling wood...yet.
Wanna bet she, the parent, hasn’t even read the freaking book, just scanned it for certain words..
The school board should demand the parent give them, the board, a book report. Then have the discussion.
