Another post last week had an article about an unusually cold pool of air over Eastern Siberia. Unusually cold even by Siberian standards. The theory is that parts of these pools break off and head east and south into the U. S. There is some historical evidence to support this.
I expect it to blow around a bit at first, but eventually it will all just ... settle ... into drifts of ... science.

I already feel it in CO. Record low night temperature of 15 F... daytime temperature has been in the 30s.
Cold Arctic air makes it feel like an icebox.

Climate Depot are TOTAL de-bunkers of ‘Global Warming/Climate Change/Whatever They’re Calling It This Year.’ However, they are NOT above hyperbole to generate hits to their web page. ;)
Our local AM Radio Conserva-Babe has them on her show from time to time. I’d plan accordingly.

I’m visiting my daughter and family in Ojai,CA. and the heat’s been on for days. I think the temps are the same back home in MA.
Well I think that narrows down the culprit. It's something the Alaskans are doing that needs to be taxed, regulated and banned not the rest of us.

We just had a nice thunderstorm in southern Ontario. Thank goodness this wasn’t snow! We’d be buried in it!
In Norther Virginia at 10pm on November 30 it’s 61 degrees!! Going back to a high in mid-50s tomorrow as we enter December. That’s not to say that within a week or two it won’t be bitter cold and we’d have 2’ of snow on the ground, but it’s been an unusually long and warm Fall.
It’s chili today but hot tamale!
