There’s going to be the same old “sheriff” in this town.
Preet Bharara, The gungho federal prosecutor has agreed to “stay on” as Manhattan U.S. Attorney after President-elect Donald Trump offered him the gig during a meeting Wednesday afternoon at Trump Tower in Midtown.
“We had a good meeting. I agreed to stay on. I have already spoken to Senator Sessions, who is as you know is the nominee to be the attorney general. He also asked that I stay on, and so I expect that I will be continuing to work at the southern district,” Bharara confirmed to a pool of reporters in the lobby of Trump’s Fifth Avenue skyscraper following their 40 minute powwow.
Bharara, who’s been called “The Sheriff of Wall St.” for his agressive prosecution of bankers, also heaped praise on his own office.
“The president-elect asked, presumably because he’s a New Yorker and is aware of the great work that our office has done over the past seven years, asked to meet with me to discuss whether or not I’d be prepared to stay on as the United States attorney to do the work as we have done it, independently, without fear or favor for the last seven years, Bharara said.

Doesn’t he also have Cuomo under the microscope? Then I would say keep him.
The people around Andrew Cuomo (and probably Andrew Cuomo himself) and the people at the Clinton Family Foundation (where Family is used in the same sense as “family” is used in referring to organized criminal activity) probably all need to change their underwear.

No. It should have been though, because that is where Clinton’s N.Y. offices are.
The Obama Admin purposefully put the Clinton Foundation “investigation” into the Eastern District of New York, even though none of their offices are there. Eastern District is where Loretta Lynch came from, and she hired many of the attorneys there.
Ooh, a Sikh. The Indian wave continues. And yes, Cuomo and the Clintons ought to worry. Sikhism is a warrior religion.

Yes, he is and he HAS. He’s the type of democrat that used to be the norm 50 years ago.
My father was a democrat. He was a conservative democrat. But that was the 1960s.
Conservative democrats today are about as abundant as unicorns.
Apparently, Bharara’s immigrant family is about 50 years behind when it comes to American politics.
If the democrat party were to develop and multiply along the old era views of Bharara, they would take back the country easily.
I want Willie and Shillary on the foundation scams. Start with Haiti and go down the list. The Haitians already demonstrate every day in NY and they will foam at the mouth to testify against them.

Preet Bharara is in the Southern District of NY, which includes Manhattan and Wall Street. He has corruption investigations into the Commie NYC Mayor, and Democrat State officials, as well as Wall Street folks. He has a reputation as a straight shooter, and as a guy out to make a name for himself. Guiliani had been in that office at one time, and took on the Italian Mafia and islamists in NYC.
I hope that “Preet” doesn’t translate into English as “target on my back”. Sounds like he’s stalking some bad people.

I`m guessing Obama appointed this guy and didn`t bother to `vette` him because he was a minority and assumed that that was enough to ensure that he would be a reliable puppet. Oops! Kind of like when Obama invited Ben Carson to speak at a function a few years back, because he was a sucessful minority. He didn`t stop to think that maybe Carson was an independent thinker who wouldn`t automatically fawn over him. Obama had quite a surprise that day.
