I’m giving my kid my AK and 6 30 round magazines to take back to his dorm when he comes home for Christmas break next week.

That’s right!
A friend of ours knows the piano player who went after the guy. The owner closed up shop and went back to Israel eventually.
My daughter had class in that building and ut class today...wow
Crazy lunatics seem to be morning people.
Nice looking group of kids. Not a snowflake among them.
Swat going into and upstairs in a parking garage. There are two scenes.
Standard active shooter protocol. First choice, run. If you can't run, hide. If you can't hide, fight.
Looks like you will have to caution her to not be the first out when a fire alarm is pulled..unless she smells smoke. Sounds like a tactic they will use again.
ACTIVE SHOOTER OSU CAMPUS 9 TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Per WBNS, eight to hospital, one critical. One shooter killed. Possible second suspect. Started with car crashed into chemical engineering building, possible chlorine leak, firefighters first on scene due to possible leak.
When the police show up, you probably don’t need to have to defend yourself if you are that close proximity with them...
Lay your weapon down and put your hands in the open...Talk calmly...
A machete? I figured, since Watts Hall is science and engineering, a failing student went postal. But the machete makes me wonder....
which one of these is the machete dude who axed a Prof?
I'm with you. This Run, hide, fight protocol is badly reversed IMHO. There is a simple response that can be easily implemented in these situations where the flooring is compatible. Every teacher in every classroom should be issued an industrial sized jug of cooking oil or liquid soap. At the first hint of a shooter or shooters, everybody runs into the hall outside their door (prior to locking the doors) and dumps the entire jug over the floor so that everything has a thick coating of the stuff. The floor becomes too slippery to safely navigate for the bad guy(s) until help arrives. The slipping enemy can be more easily handled (shot) and the evacuation can be handled by simply tossing a lot of kitty litter onto the floors before exiting the area.
My husband heard there was a car full of suspects that got out and started shooting.
No mention of that on WBNS in last five minuted since I went to link. Did mention something about use of knives at engineering bldg.
kudos to the station for not speculating and reporting only the facts they are certain of.
