Now that South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has a new job, eyes are on her successor. Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster will be assuming the governorship as Haley prepares to become President-elect Donald Trump's ambassador to the United Nations.
Cue the online biographies for McMaster. A few highlights on his resume include: Army JAG officer, United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina under President Reagan, chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party, South Carolina Attorney General and (current) Lieutenant Governor of the Palmetto State.
Despite being part of the party "establishment," McMaster endorsed Trump way back in January, calling him a "man of accomplishment" who has a "quiet compassion" for those in need. As such, Trump can expect to have a cooperative friend and partner in South Carolina.
It's a win-win for President-elect Trump.

An ambitious woman who is ineligible to be President or Vice President.
Her parents were Indian nationals.
Because she’s not as smart as she thinks she is.

That doesn’t matter anymore, courtesy of the 1st kenyan.
I will throttle the first person who says “strategery.”
Just. Do. Not. Go. There.
Seriously.
Good job!! I love the way Trump thinks.
It matters to those of us who care about the Constitution.
The Kenyanesian Usurpation must never be allowed to happen again.
Totalitarian Arabs attacking a Brown Woman will be tough at the U.N.
You are right about that my FRiend. It is indeed “addition by subtraction”. One more thing to thank Trump for.
Well there is no doubt that she is ambitious, but she is also incompetent. I admit I voted for her the first time and abstained the second time. She has done nothing worthwhile as governor IMHO. Glad to see her go.
A lightweight in a lightweight job with little power but which gives him great EEO points. Woman, check. Indian (dot), check. Too bad she’s straight ;-)
Ego.
It’s a feather in her cap what does she care.
Scott Adams was the first person to call this election for Trump. He was 100% confident even before the first state primary was held.

I hope people are studying that. It appears that it was impossible for ANYONE to file a suit in ANY jurisdiction. They all for tossed for lack of standing or lack or proof of direct harm.
Very frustrating to watch. Hopefully we can get SOME kind of mechanism to enforce our Constitution. I do have hope for the new SCOTUS — Trump may end up picking 3, maybe 4 Justices and his cabinet so far tells us he is going very Conservative in his appointments.

I LOVED the way he mocked the libs by saying he will bote for hiLIARy because if he doesn’t he faces physical violent attack.
His commentary through this cycle has been wickedly sharp.
What happens if Haley resigns the governorship, then Trump fires her?
Is she out of luck?
Just a token minority. Same with Ben Carson.
Maybe, but it is apparent that Trump and Carson genuinely like and respect each other.
That’s what I thought: He made his critic his servant.
We The People are never granted any standing because The Powers That Be are always cutting our legs out from under us.
