President-elect Donald Trump will tap Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his Attorney General, according to Bloomberg News and the New York Times.

Sessions, the first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, was rumored for a number of positions in Trump’s cabinet, including Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense but it appears that the former Attorney General of Alabama has been selected for the highest law and order position in the administration.

Sen. Ted Cruz was also rumored for the position after he was spotted at Trump Tower, meeting with the president elect.

The official announcement from Trump’s transition team is expected later today.

In addition, Rep. Mike Pompeo has been selected by Trump as CIA director ...

I’m assuming his state will appoint a conservative to his seat.

I’m also hoping Sessions will go after all the corruption at the top: 0vomit, Hitlery, Bill, Podesta, Lynch, Pelosi, Reid, Lois Lerner, and so many more I can’t remember them all.

True and even though he stated he would pick from the list, I believe he might make the exception for Cruz. After all, very few people would fault him for that other than the left.

RE: Gowdy
I think Gowdy is essential right where he is for now, to get everything ready for a grand jury. With Bammy and his crew of traitors out of the way, the Benghazi investigation can proceed finally. I wouldn't want to risk losing key information by moving him too soon.

I would fault him.

Cruz is unfit to hold public office.

There will be no exception for Cruz.

Kelly Ann made that perfectly clear.

By far the two worst AGs in American history.

And I though Janet Reno would be considered the worst ever. Little did we know . . .

I doubt most of the Dems will try to block a fellow colleague, i.e., a member of the club. Kerry got easily confirmed to be SecState.

Mo would be a great replacement. Solid on immigration.

Gowdy is weak on immigration. He did a lousy job on the Benghazi investigation.

These are the agencies under direct supervision of the US Attorney General.

Even Obama would have to answer your question with, YES.

Excellent idea, but perhaps Rudy could replace the corrupt cop, Comey, at FBI, or take over Homeland Security or the CIA.

IMHO I don't think Rudy wants a full time job. He's 72 years old and has had a long career. Taking down the Clinton Crime Family would be an outstanding feather in his cap. He could ride off into the sunset a hero.

I do not trust Ted Cruz.

It’s my take that he lied to us a number of times.

He sided with the Leftist Press against Trump in Chicago at that rally where the Leftists attacked our people. He blamed it on Trump’s rhetoric.

This made me think that Ted was in this for himself, not the nation and the right things. He was willing to sell Trump and the nation out for political gain.

He lost. He refused to endorse. He continue to posture.

This was for Ted and nobody else. To heck with the nation. If it came down to Hillary or Trump, Ted had no problem standing down for all but one day. Oh yes, he also spent less than an hour on the phones months ago.

The man is too filled with himself to be any good to the nation. His vindictive nature is not what is required for as a justice of the SCOTUS.

Trump has to pick from his 'list' for Scalia's seat. After that he can pick Cruz.

It will also keep Cruz cruzing on the straight and narrow Trump Train track.

Trivia question ...where is the longest straight run of rail track....?

Obama may have to pardon himself. Sessions will ensure that a full, complete investigtation is done on the emails and more importantly, the Clinton Foundation.

Obama would have to pardon a lot more people connected to the email scandal including Hillary's aides and the IT people who were given limited immunity. And that also goes for the Clinton Foundation.

I have no doubt that Sessions will have whistle-blowers from the FBI and DOJ come forward. We need to put a stake thru the hearts of the Clintons. And Obama must be investigated thoroughly. He is going to be a divisive force in this country for the 30 years.

I had no idea the AG was over so many agencies. Awesome! Sessions is and has been rock solid.

Sessions is interesting because in his 30 years in the Senate he’s never endorsed a primary candidate, but jumped on the Trump train right off. That made me trust Trump on illegal immigration, if Sessions does

Kudos to Gowdy for his unrelenting hearings trying to nail Hellery on Benghazi, but after she lied to him and the Committee, he did nothing.

I respectfully disagree. Gowdy, more than any other person, created a record of statements by Comey. Comey would not have been on record for the most damaging statements without the questions by Gowdy. Those statements, that he obtained under oath, were the most effective evidence of what occurred.

With that said, I have low expectations for congressional hearings because they never amount to much, but as a statement of record, there was nobody even close to Gowdy in the importance of answers obtained.

Oh, and I just read this detail about Mike Pompeo too:

So far Trump is absolutely killing it with his security picks!
