President-elect Donald Trump will tap Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his Attorney General, according to Bloomberg News and the New York Times.
Sessions, the first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, was rumored for a number of positions in Trumps cabinet, including Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense but it appears that the former Attorney General of Alabama has been selected for the highest law and order position in the administration.
Sen. Ted Cruz was also rumored for the position after he was spotted at Trump Tower, meeting with the president elect.
The official announcement from Trumps transition team is expected later today.
In addition, Rep. Mike Pompeo has been selected by Trump as CIA director ...

temperament ... more coffee.
One problem about this, it’s the senate. The trash governor could appoint an anti Trump entity. Anyone have any insights into this?
Sessions has the advantage of being a Senator, which means that he will benefit from the Senate tending to confirm its own members for higher posts. I can’t think of a Senator from either side who hasn’t been conformed.
How do you know? I hear the Governor is a never Trump buffoon.
As his first official act next year I propose the AG Sessions appoint Rudy Giuliani as special prosecutor in charge of the Clinton email and Foundation cases.

Excellent idea, but perhaps Rudy could replace the corrupt cop, Comey, at FBI, or take over Homeland Security or the CIA.
Wherever he goes we can rely on him doing a bang-up job for Trump and America.
Good one, doc!
Keep your powder dry. Wait for the clamor for “diversity” and THEN appoint Sheriffs Clark and Arpaio, Col. Allen West, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann.

YEEEESSS! All five of these people will do a bang-up job for President Trump and for all Americans.
I doubt he will pick Romney for anything. If, however, Trump is willing to put hard feelings aside I think we can do the same for now. I’ve watched Trump for over a year now and I’m comfortable that he will make good picks for the right reasons. The only thing that I’ve heard that I’m a little concerned about is John Bolton as SOS (That one would be a poor decision)

Another white man! Wheres Trump diversity picks?

Love it!!
Unbelievably great pick after suffering through Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.

By far the two worst AGs in American history. Two-bit Shysters can go back to chasing ambulances.
Cruz has noone to blame but himself. He’s not even the Pete Best of Team Trump because he wasn’t savvy enough to get into the band to begin with.
Hey! Hey! Loving it.
Time for Levin to burn his “Liberty Amendments” book. Don’t need that desperation move anymore. Just put a competent conservative in as POTUS and the country will turn around.
The transition moves are very hopeful...
It is possible Trump was being magnanimous.
Look, Mitt! Donald Trump is now the single-most-powerful man on Earth, The Leader Of The Free World.
YOU EFFING MORON! What's the difference, Mitt, between a "Mormon" and a "moron?" I'll tell you. One capital letter and one "m." Not much differentiating the two.
Mitt.
BwwwwwaaaaahhhhahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I would be okay with that...if it isn’t one of the major positions..like Secretary of State.
Anyone have any suggestions for how to cope with all this winning? Its getting tough to take.

GA (Gloater’s Anonymous) meetings are full to overflowing so that’s a “no go” right now. Besides, it’s not working so well - meetings tend to turn into something resembling a Trump campaign rally with cries of MAGA and USA,USA!! :-)
